First time here at MB.
I hope you all can give me some advice to this very wierd situation.
My husband's ex wants to become friends with me?
Is that strange? Or is this a new trend that's happening that I am completely unaware of. My opinion is that she's lonely, regrets getting a divorce, and wants him back.
This woman is known for being manipulative. She is remarried with children, which let me to believe that she had moved on in her life, however something tells me to watch her a little bit closely.

Anyone?

OK, what does H think? (And why?) Have you read about the Policy of Joint Agreement (POJA)?

How long have they been D'd, anyway. Was there an A involved? This sounds a bit like post A regret.

And I like your assessment of what she may get out of the friendship.

Are there co-parenting issues she could be trying to work out through this?

I dunno, Uriel. It smells fishy, even upwind.

My husband thinks that she is out of her mind. He didn't want me to talk to her at all. He was against it from the beginning, But I have to admit that I was quite curious as to what she really wanted.
They were married for a few years and divorced because of her need to "find herself" He told me that she had no clue as to what she wanted from him or from herself. I did feel sorry for her....until I met her.

I met her at a church function. I had no idea who she was,but she knew me from the start. She obtained my number from someone we both knew and called me. This woman is BOLD. Our conversations since then have been meaningless, agonizing jibber about her life and why she is so unhappy. She called me her "friend" and I literally had to cover the phone to keep from laughing. The christian in me wants to believe that this woman just needs someone to talk to. BUT (and it is a big one) I have this feeling that she has something up her sleeve.
You know the expression "keep your friends close and your enemies closer". Some of my REAL friends gave me advice to continue to talk to her and find out what she's about.
