Charles Schultz????? Where have I been? As a kid I used to spend hours and hours reading the giant Peanuts collections, which were a large part of why my heartless father limited me to only 4 hours of reading per day. (How could he?!)
And still I missed Sweet Babboo. Oh, I am so embarrassed!
Thanks for remembering that I asked - I was disappointed that the thread got locked before you had a chance to answer, and now I will not lose any more time wondering about this.

Sally has terminally unrequited love for Linus ... she persists in calling him "My sweet Baboo" ... and it just burns him up!
Sometimes, I call DH "Boo" .... from a famous film ... guess which one!

I was getting ready to guess, "Flintstones meet the Jetsons."
Oh wait - that had nothing to do with Jellystone.
Nevermind.

Omigosh, I'm SUCH a sucker for Peanuts that sculpture actually brought a tear to my eye! Where is it, Pep? And is it actually called "My Sweet Babboo"? (I hope so! Let's face it - any other name would be pointless.)

At the end of this hilarious and stimulating discussion, I am left with only two options....either take back the snerpy hints of antiquity aimed at my father (and anyone else who knew what a sweet babboo was), or......apply them to myself.
So I take 'em back. For I am a part of the Schultz Age.

It's adorable, isn't it?
