ok, I'll play! but I have to think on it.... oh, ok, I have one... Just maybe last month I had a guy say to me "oh my god, you are everything I have been looking for inside and out, will you marry me?" and proceeded to use my first name with his last name, etc, and than said some sexual type stuff in joking which REALLY turned me off.. let's just say the SNOB in me was thinking "well, you are NOT what I am looking for either inside or out!" alrighty then... next!

if I think of more I will post them... haven't had too too many recently but might be able to come up with some from before i was married... mlhb

the best ones i have heard i am too modest to post.

i harken back to the great steve sanders on the tv show beverly hills 90210, his favorite line was "is that a mirror in your pocket, because i see myself in your pants."

i think its a classic. lol

I wish I could say something classy and inspirational, but that just wouldn't be (my) style.

back in my single days, before marriage so pre 1996 i heard some great ones. i know the lamest stories start, i was in a bar....but during the Olympics in atlanta in 96 i was in a bar and saw a guy pick up the female bartender using this line: "i know you are so busy that you are nothing but [censored] and elbows right now, but i want you to know you have the best looking [censored] and elbows i have ever seen."

the guy took home the bartender with that one...swear it. unbelievable.

second date with a looser (I thought he was okay the first time I met him) he tossed the menu on the floor and asked the waitress to 'stand on it'. He then proceeded to tell her that he wanted a piece of her very raw.

I don't know what she did, I got up and left.

Amazing how you get a looser once, and you get a run of them, like swimming in the wrong river?

OK, I'll bite - this is pretty cheesy but I loved it...

I was in a wedding party and a bunch of us still all dressed up in our hideous bridesmaid dresses went out afterwards.

This guy came up to me and said,"Hey, great dress! Do you think I could borrow it sometime?" LOL I still laugh when I think of it.

Ok, I remembered 2... from my "younger" days...like when I was 20 or 21..

first one.. for some reason a lot of people thought I looked like tori spelling when I was that age (which, yuck, I don't think she is that pretty at all but whatever) I was living far away from home in a bigger city at the time and working 2 jobs. One, I was in management for a clothing store, the other I worked part time at a tanning and excercise place (and if you knew me even today, a tanning place would be so typical for me! LOl but, hey I got to tan for free...) anyhoo, this guy comes in the tanning part, looks at me and is like "oh my God, it is you from 90210! wow, would you marry me like right now?" rolling eyes just thinking about it. gee, I get a lot of first site marriage proposals! hahahaha did not go out with him. tooooo cheesy...

next one, it was very close to christmas, at my management job (same time frame as above story, same age) and it was in clothing so we always dressed really nice. well, I had on this really beautiful and expensive christmas sweater ( I think I still have it actually) It was really pretty, will some nice stirrup type pants and healed boots (hey, it was late 80's... early 90's... I had the big hair too! haha) this guy comes in xmas shopping with his mother. they leave and he comes back in, comes up to me and says "my family is having a huge party at the holiday in turf (nice place) for christmas. I just could not leave without asking you if you would like to come.. you just look like a beautiful christmas gift to and would be perfect to go.." yea, right. Well, I did go, and if memory serves me correct I had a little too much of the spirits that night and could not get away from this guy and his family fast enough! haha I am glad I am older and wiser now... lol mlhb

hey, in adding to cheesy pick up lines, can we also describe some funny bad dates we have had??? I can bite on that one but good! haha

ill chime in....

i just got back from a week in cabo...i used this and IT works like magic...(sorry ladies!)

i walk up to the "hottest" group of ladies in the place...and just start introducing myself...then i ask them all, "whats the cheesiest, campiest pick up line they ever heard"? after they all chime in and everyone is laughing and comparing and having a good time...i "use" the corniest one on all of them...throw in a serious look, a wink and a smile....say its "nice to meet ya'll" and walk away....

i have always left with a number or two from the girls and a "potential" future date....

i learned, as long as you have self confidence and a great sense of humor...it dont matter what you say....

also...i never buy them anything to drink...and i dont stick around too long so the "awkwardness" never sets in...one or two will always come over to me and my friends before the end of the nite...also so after a few cocktails, you dont say something stupid and they look at you like your a "loser" or a jacka**....i believe in letting "some other guy" do that!!

i always end with..."if i was a fish, id be a keeper"! a smile and a wave!!

i go down to cabo a couple of times a year for fishing and well...PARTYING too, i guess...

i have a condo down there and took my kids for the end of spring break (i have teenagers)

anyway...we "older" "wiser" crowd have to remember that Now a days..(i sound soo old), im only 42 BTW, but to be honest....girls and guys are all about the "hook up"...nothing more...

so its quick in, quick out....i have found that most girls in their early to mid 20's dont want a relationship with older guys. with kids and such....those that do, have ALOT of baggage and i avoid anyway....

they do "date" older guys...(i look younger, so i lie) and the "cheesy" lines work like a charm!!!

(thank GAWD this is anonymous!!!) hehe!

we older wiser women (yes, I am darn wise at 34 haha) know better... I have enuff cops friends to know you all can come up with some darn good stories and lines... and I mean GOOD...lol
