There's nothing "amiss" and nothing "new" about this sort of Troll. This type has been here before. The best way to "handle" such an ego-centric person is to ignore them. Let them post to their hearts content, simply refuse to answer or remark about anything they post. It is the "getting under your skin" that they love. Being ignored is intolerable to them.

So have some fun yourselves and simply ignore any and all statements. If you can't do it on your own, simply click on his name and choose "ignore this user."

If you both read the other thread "Justuss" it might give you some idea of what is going on here.

Hi Jen....
I posted on the "Justuss" thread days and days ago, before she actually deleted the "offending" post.

So humorous, that "everyone's opinion counts" but then posts are summarily deleted that way.

LOL. Why am I cynical? something about -- what's that word? It starts with an "H"....

They're not summarily deleted. They are deleted at the request of a great number of posters.

Interestingly, the place I spend most of my time "Idiotville" was always being reported to the moderators. Most of the reasoning was that we were having too much fun, we were irreverant and sometimes downright dirty and we didn't MB. What we were doing was forging very strong and close friendships and sometimes the MBing got a bit lost but it was always there.

Days ago, the Justuss thread was a completely different thread. I pointed out to Lateralus that our safety is important to us and that it takes guts to come here in the first place and spill said guts. When someone refuses to state their agenda on an infidelity forum you start to wonder and worry.

It's kinda funny you say betrayed people are bitter. I'm not a betrayed person and I was one of the first to call Lateralus.

It's funny you think GQII is not welcoming. I avoid Recovery because it's the "angry" forum.

I've been one of the most forgiving of all betrayed spouses AFTER I was able to forgive. It wasn't an easy battle to get there, because I did not take it lightly, I did not forgive easily, I was not sure I even needed to forgive.

Once I forgave, I was able to forgive him, me, and God. I won't explain that any further, so you'll have to try to understand what I mean, if it matters to you.

But in my experience the GQII forum is the angry forum. Unforgiving Betrayed Spouses suck the life out of me. Unforgiving wayward spouses seem so hypocritical. I see that stuff and it just rubs against my grain. Eek. Like a dry drunk, really ugly.

Yes, I guess it is.

We're all here for the same reason. It's up to us to find where we're most comfortable.

My perception as an FWW is probably different from yours. When people ignore you simply because you're from the "wrong side" you start getting quite defensive. I've never been ignored on GQ, quite the opposite. I must admit though I'm quite hard to ignore - I have quite a lot to say.

Anyway, it's very late here. Time to turn in.

Good night and thanks for talking to me.

btw, I get ignored all the time, and I'm pretty mouthy too.

If we're about saving the marriage we're on the same side.

From Penalty Kill

Lateralus, I notice that both you and McCracken spell the same word incorrectly.

Other than that, I don't have much to say on the topic.

Why is the GQII forum so hostile? I really do wonder.

I'm glad I'm not brand new around here. I might get the impression that betrayed people always cursed to become bitter and vindictive and angry.

You all need a hug!

fantasigirl, its been my observation that you have taken the notion of "forgiveness" to an obscene extreme that precludes ever speaking the truth about anything. And when someone does speak an unpleasant truth, you rail with accusations of "bitterness," "anger," etc because you think that "forgiveness" means never speaking an unpleasant truth. Well, that is not what forgiveness means at all.

Perhaps you should work on your own resentment [read: bitterness] against the GQII forum and just get over it? Resentments are like taking poison and expecting the other person to die. Really, it is your own issue. Get over it; deal with it. You will feel so much better.

MelodyLane, I have no respect for you and IN MY OPINION your opinion is worthless. An OBSCENE extreme? You have no idea what forgiveness means apparently. And that is obvious to everyone but you. Read the LAST post you made to me in the Recovery forum, and then we'll talk diagnoses. I have an IC and an MC and I trust their opinions, what was your degree in. oh yeah it was in cosmetics.

And you call others "bitter," "angry" and "unforgiving," fantastigirl? Have you ever read your own posts? WOW

Dern, I missed the discussion on baiting?

When I retire in a few years (1029 days ) I'm gonna get a part time job baiting hooks on a fishing pier - just to have something to do. I'll start out as an apprentice baiter, and work my way up to master baiter. How long will this take? Was this discussed?
