Hello:)
I really wanted to share the great news of the newest addition to the FIM family.
Steve and I welcomed our daughter to the family two days ago.
Now, here I go getting all sentimental so stop if you'd like... you've been forewarned.
I was sitting here in the window of our home overlooking the gardens Steve and I put in this year, watching over all the brand new growth sprouted from seed as well as the flowering of the freshly planted starts. My mind was going over the people I still need to get in touch with to share the news about our baby and I thought of MB.
I don't get here to contribute as often as I would like to. I read almost daily and post when I think I have something to say that might help but I haven't been an active part of the community for quite a while. Still, MB is a huge part of who I have become. The MB program was the catalyst for changes within myself and my life that has brought me to where and who I am.
I look back at my life one, two years ago and beyond and could never have imagined being here in the living room watching Steve try and relax playing baseball on the Xbox, the beagle snoring next to him on the couch, our little girl swinging away all bundled up sleeping for the next few minutes. It's not any single element of this moment that is amazing to me... it's the journey, it's having a man like Steve beside me - knowing that men like this are actually out there!
All three of the kids are SO excited about their new sister. Who would have guessed that FIM's life would take such a drastic turn one day. Not FIM!!
Baby is doing fine. She was three weeks early but still weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz and was 20 inches long. She is just beautiful. And it's not just a mom saying that... so does her dad and sisters and brother!
Well, I just read this over and can see two or three different thoughts started and not quite finished. That would be the pain meds kicking in I think. So, I'm going to stop before I start on another one.

I don't know you, but that was a beautiful post. Congratulations on your baby!
What was your situation? BS or WS?
May God bless your entire family.

FIM - very happy to read your update.
Very, very heartwarming.
I'll guess the baby's name is NOT San Antonio.

Her name is Nolan Patricia Nolan is traditionally a male name but we knew that either way that would be her name. The name has special significance to Steve and is his way of honoring a good friend that died in high school.
Sorry it took so long to get back here. Thank you to everyone for the good wishes. We are truly blessed.
We ended up at the doctor most of yesterday because she developed jaundice. It's not generally too big of an issue (my son had it too) but her level was 21, she dropped 10% of her birth weight and they almost decided to hospitalize her. I'm all confused right now as one of her tests showed she has a type caused by a blood incompatability but from everything I've read and heard from the home nurse that's nearly impossible in this circumstance. AAGGHH. Good news is her level has dropped to 18 and she put on a little over 3 ounces since late yesterday. Thank goodness.
WAT - You make me laugh!!
Thank you again for the congratulations everyone

FiM,
It is great to see you doing so well after all you have been through.
You are still the clssic example of executing a Plan A.
Blessings to you and yours.
Be excellent to each other and bless God.
