I am on the West Coast..Don't tell me it is Chris or Taylor??????

I would be so dissapointed...

Don't tell us, we haven't seen it yet, but since there are some hints, I don't think I am going to like it

I was stunned- I suppose his supporters did not get out the vote. I thought Kat was awful, but I guess her supporters voted.

My daughter cried.

I've never been a ROCK fan and never really understood ROCK music..so I never understood the attraction for Chris. After his performances I would say to myself, "What was so good about that?" Whereas, I have always liked Elliott. I think that he can sing a cross-section of music.

Looks like a lot of folks may agree with me or, as you say, Chris' fans did not vote.

I've never felt like crying in my 4 years of watching Idol but Chris leaving so soon almost made me do it!!

yougotobefreakinkiddinme!!! Kat stays and Chris goes????!!! I think the folks trying to discredit the show with the campaign to screw up the votting were successful. Oh well....chris is now going to be free to negotiate a record deal that will probably be better than the one the show is offering. I'm not worried about chris. Here's my prediction though....I bet it has an effect on the ratings.

I didn't watch last night. Wow, I guess I called that one all wrong. Won't be the first time. Oh well.

I've only voted once early in the season.

I admit, I cried like a baby.

Loved Chris, loved him singing Love Me Tender (which BTW was my wedding song)

I never vote, because somehow that my lesson my credibility as a person, and clearing my schedule religiously to watch every episode doesn't.

Here's what I think happened....

People who liked Chris ~and~ one other contestant voted for the ~other~ favorite

thinking Chris would be safe because he did so well.....

I was SHOCKED

but I am still gonna follow the show

I live directly in the heart of McFever-ville

But, I did not vote for her this week coz she was deffinately the weakest performance of the night

oh well

carry on

Pep

PS ... Suz, I thought you were not that fond of Chris ????

Chris will be famous one day. He has the most awesome voice. I love everything about him. I have never really had a favorite, favorite in all the past Idols, but this season Chris really grabbed my heart. I am so disappointed. I can not stand Taylor, but am afraid he will win. Not a big Elliott fan either. I like Kat so I will pull for her now.

My prediction, Chris will go farther in the real music world than any of them.

I think that Chris will definitely need voice lessons or he will lose his voice. He is not a trained singer and does not use his diaphragm. He probably will be able to land a record deal, though.

I have a different opinion, though. I gained confidence in America last night. Taylor and Elliot have more of a mass appeal. They can sing all kinds of music..rock and soul. I think that's what an American Idol should be all about or is supposed to be..not appealing to just one group of people.

My opinion....

I voted for Chris 3x's Tuesday (by text). I'm still disgusted. VERY glad I wasn't home to watch last night, else I would've cried, too.

Yes, I'm a 40 year old AI addict.

The good thing about Idol is that many will get the opportunity of a lifetime. As we have seen in the past the winner does not always succeed. When Idol is over it really is a matter of who pursues their dreams the most.

I would personally never spend money on Taylor's music. Just not my style nor an image that I can relate to. Chris was the only one to me that had star quality. I hope I am pleasantly surprised and they all make it big!

AI is fundamentally a popularity show. Chris is an alt-rocker and cuts too narrow a swath through the voting public to have won. Interesting dynamic now is to whom will Chris's vote go? Not Taylor IMHO, so to Elliot and Kat. Kat wins the final by a whisker after stepping up and belting her best performance to date.

Of course, I reserve the right to modify my prediction based on next Tuesday's performances.

Me and my daughter almost cryed ourselves, Chris and Paris were both a cut above all the other performers (IMMHO)

Cant believe Kat or Elliott are still there, Elliott creeps me out, looks like a cross between a wolfman and a kebbler elf. LOL

bump up.....
should we go with the predictions of dialidol.com?
Elliot has the target on his head tonight.
Perhaps a little levity to break the tension on the NCW thread?

Taylor is by far the more interesting singer. Very versatile and somewhat reminds me of a Joe Cocker or even a Bob Dylan in his way. I think Taylor has withstood the test of time, has adjusted his style and become a winner. He really has star potential.

Cathryn is good looking. She gets my vote.
