Hello,, I have not posted here before. I have read the Love Busters book and sent her a copy (she said she has only glanced thru it). The annulment she hoped to get to day did not have sufficient grounds, she must now seek divorce. I will be the one to file within 30 days, then the decree will be mailed in 90 days. Her wanting a divorce is due to my temper(stern , condescending, flippant). Her children have leveraged her emotions and have also sided with her (I did make a stern disciplene once or twice - included a lecture - I realize I should not have said a word). She knows I will be going to Breif therapy, she does not want to go thru counseling, she had problems very similar with her X (married for 32 yr). I have some time right now, would like to know what I can do.

Why are you condescending and flippant towards your wife (the woman your supposed to love and cherish) and her kids?



What do you mean by stern? some peoples stern is another persons abuse. But do you really blame her children for siding with their mother?

What do you mean her kids have leveraged her emotions?

they are her emotions and if she doesn't like that her husband talks to her in a condescending, disrespectful and sarcastic tone she has ever right to want to remove herself and her kids from that situation.

it's not healthy for her kids to see, or for a marriage, and that she is standing up for herself by removing herself from that enviroment is a WISE choice on her part.


How brief is brief?


Figure out why you talk to the woman you claim to love in a condescending and sarcastic manner.

And learn to change that behavior or you'll find yourself getting divorced again if you ever remarry and this doesn't change.
