My DWH's Nextel cell phone is issued by his employer and the bill is paid by his employer. Calls to and from the OW are solely to his cell number, and he has admitted to deleting her from his Recent Calls list after the call. He has not written a NC letter yet. I suspect A is continuing.

I've tried calling Nextel to get copies of his portion of the bill, but they won't release that info to me bec I'm not an administrator on the account. They only suggested registering online, but I need the account number in addition to his cell number.

Any work arounds anyone can suggest? or a way I can get the account number?

I'm planning to expose to OW's H next week, but only have emails and was counting on getting copy of the cell bill (just in case he wasnt interested in snooping on his W's cell bill).

It is impossible unless you have the account number and the total of the last bill. Nextel is very corporate and online billing is not easy to break into.

As FF said, Corporate cellphone accounts are very guarded. I can't call and ask questions about my own corp phone. Only our designated rep can do that.

BUT

You might research the type of phone he has. Nextel is one of the few phone providers you can track a cellphone as a GPS device. Real time information about phones location.

A while back I needed cell phone records--OW's number came up without ID on our bill, but I got hers to prove she was still calling FWH. I went on the internet to phonebust.com and paid around $200 or so--can you get her number and track back that way? Hers was personal but I don't think it was nextel.

Thanks Anne.

$200? ouch!

OW & OW's H have been out of town, returning to work w/in next couple of days. I'm planning to expose to OW's H and I'm hoping he will share information with me, or at least examine her cell bill on his own. If not or if he doesn't believe his W has been up to mischief, then maybe I will have to go the phonebust.com route myself.

Can he access his phone# on nextel's website to see his usage? If so, he would still need a user id name and password. My FWH used the same password for his email address as his cell. I found both the night I kicked him out on D-day.

I tried setting up an account. Was going fine until it asked for a SIM ID or an IMEI ID. I entered the one on the phone; said it was invalid. So I tried the one on the card that slides into the phone; same thing - invalid.

I am stumped. There's gotta be a hack into it.

You could always expose to your H work and ask them to provide you their copy of his phone bill.

If you are sure and you want to expose why not call his company?

It is a company provided cell phone that is supposed to be used for company calls.

Trust me when you get your cell phone you sign an agreement that it is for business use only.

Usually the bills itemize each phones calls. Give them the number of his phone and ask how often he calls her phone.

Success! I got the SIM and have registered to view the account. System is down right now, so I can't view the calls yet.

Can you give details of how you did that?
My H's cell is also Nextel, issued by employer.

Thx.

FINDING YOUR SIM, IMEI, or SERIAL NUMBER ON YOUR PHONE (NEXTEL)

This one is a little bit trickier than the above one. In this case, one must press four keys - each separately in a row some quickly to bring up an information screen. The four keys to press in a row are: "#", "*","menu", and the right arrow key in the upper toggle area. Then toggle down to IMEI and SIM number information. (Serial Number info may or may not be there also depending on the phone model).

Done? No. Recall that IMEI numbers and SIM numbers are 15 digits long. Your phone will only show you 14 of those digits normally. If a digit is missing, then add a zero on the end of the IMEI number or SIM number showing on your phone to get to 15 digits.

Note: If your phone does not give you this information, and you still need IMEI or SN (serial number) info, those numbers are often shown on the phone itself by removing the battery and looking below on the phone surface where the battery was. The IMEI number and Serial number are often displayed there. As for the SIM number, that of course "might" be on the SIM itself, which is in the same compartment under the battery. However, sometimes it is hard to write 15 digits on a SIM card and all might not have it marked. The SIM sometimes therefore must be read by the phone itself electronically

Try googling the make and model of the phone. Along with something like "display imei" or "display sim number".

Keep in mind, many Nextel phones have GPS tracking built in, and you can monitor it's location real time via the web. This service used to be free, but I believe the complanys have gone to pay for use.
