I haven't posted in a while but I have been reading the boards and have a question.....here it is.....

I exposed the A at the OW's place of employment is there anything she can do to me legally.....All I did was call a fellow employee of hers and said I want you to know that "name" is having and affair with "Name" <-----(is my live in BF of 7 years) The person said are you kidding me you have to be kidding me. I'm sorry to hear that....that was the extent of the conversation.....

My BF and OW work together I had exposed to their boss but he was doing nothing about it so I figured I'd expose to the people they worked with........And some how doing that has given me inner peace is that strange?

Thanks!

Not unless you lied.

A common misperception is that libel (written) or slander (spoken) can occur for saying anything derogatory about somebody. It has to be untrue. This doesn't mean the somebody won't try anyway - they just won't win and they'll end up just drawing more derogatory attention to themsleves.

If OW threatens this, your response ought to be, "Go ahead, make my day." Actually, don't respond at all.

disclaimer - I am not an attorney. If you want real legal advice, speak to a real attorney.

Thanks for the reply.

I didn't lie it was the truth I have an email from her that she sent to my BF that proves the A. I also have an old phone bill with numerous calls and text messages....

She hasn't threatened anything I was just checking for my own peace of mind......you never know.....
