If you or your WS/BS got a speeding ticket, would you share that information with your spouse? Does that fall under radical honesty or just TMI (too much information)? I'll explain my situation after I've heard a few responses. Thanks!

It depends on how much you communicate.

My spouse tells me every detail of her day so if she left that out it would probably make me feel like she was trying to hide something.

I on the other hand do a lot of driving on my job and I do not tell my wife every detail of my day. Probably cause I can't get a word in edgewise. Sometimes I try to tell her stuff and I get interupted and it slips my mind.

So if he tells you everything he does and misses that it might get me a little concerned.

From Penalty Kill

My answer would be yes, this is a no-brainer. The reason is that your insurance is likely to go up, and both BS/WS are probably covered under the same policy.

It's a radical honesty thing, IMO.

My H and son have been in the car with me the last two times I was stopped. My son was almost late for those games and his coach decided to have a chat with me about obeying the speed limit. I'm still trying to decide if he was serious or not.

It is radical honesty. Yes, you need to tell... and you need to slow down.
I for one found out from my son that his mom had gotten stopped with him in the car. She told me it was for 5 MPH over the limit. When i checked... we x-cops have our methods... it was for 17 over the limit and I was told by the cop she was going even faster than that.
Needless to say, I needed to know that she was being reckless with my son in the car.
Yes, you should tell.

im, oh yes, you should tell him! And just explain to him, like I always do, that the damn speed limit was TOO LOW there! Couldn't ya talk your way out of the ticket? <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Ok I am swithching my vote to yes. They are right there are going to be consequences for your speeding perhaps higher insurance rates. It affects him and he should know.

Ok, so there are enough votes, and I'll give my reason for asking. Other day in the mail, a letter comes for FWH from some kind of "speeding ticket school" where he can drink margaritas and learn defensive driving techniques.

I almost thought it was a joke, but I figured I'd ask FWH: "Say, you didn't happen to get a speeding ticket recently, didja?" FWH admits, yes, he did. I ask, "When were ya plannin on tellin' me?" His response, "Well, it was kinda embarrassing, and I figured I'd keep it to myself."

My take is HE11 YES he should have told me. Especially since he's always pinching me about spending too much $$. It's kind of funny, because like the penalty box situation, I am a pretty agressive driver (read that to mean I tend to speed), and FWH is quick to point out how much I speed. I think it's a combination of ego and monetary embarassment that he kept it from me, but still, as Pep might be quick to point out, I see it as a little lie, further undermining my trust in FWH.

He'll say I'm blowing it out of proportion, so I wanted some independent opinion before I put my little bias on the situation. Thanks for your feedback.
