I sent her a gift...granted it was to the wrong address, but she eventually got it.
I just couldn't bring myself to call her. I can not stand being fake especially when the person and I both know we dislike one another.
A part of me feels awful and the other part of me just feels like saying "IN YOUR FACE". How mature?
How can I learn to get along with her and keep little contact? My mother told me that its very possible and I have an advantage due to the fact we live so far away.
I know she is just telling all her little neighborhood friends about how her DIL didn't call her on mother's day.
I would appreciate your time and energy on lending me some advice.

It appears as though your own mother has given you sound advice. If you want a good marriage and a good life, listen to her. What more could strangers tell you?

My mother is awesome in what she's told me thus far. However, its always to nice to hear the opinions of others concerning this particular situation.
