Hi Everyone,
So I've read spying 101 and everything else that I can get my hands on to help my cause. It's wonderful to have this place and finally get some validation for how I have been feeling.
I know in my heart something's been going on.He's just gotten sneakier and much more secretive.I was such a dork 5 months ago and bought into his crap and stories, and he also became the model man hubby for awhile there.
So tomorrow I am going to radio shack on my way home from work. I am also going to do the accutracking as he's got a nextel that will work well for my cause!
Any hints and tips will be greatly appreciated! He doesn't use the computer or do anything from home, he is way to smart for that.
Jeanne

Hi, Jeanne
If you've read "Spying 101," you've got some good tips. I presume you're going to Radio Shack for some recorders, right? Consider getting a very small, separate microphone you can plug into the recorder too. Be sure to get one's that are "voice activated" so they don't record all the time. Be thinking of somewhere in the car you can secret one and how to fasten it securely in place. Can you get to the cell phone records on line?
Hang in there.

Here's the trickey part. He drives a semi all day long. He comes home at night in it as well. The only time he drives another vehicle is on nights and weekends and we're always together. So will I be able to get adequate recording?!

Jinxie,
Thats tough. Even if you get the recording device in.. the batteries are not going to last very long on a small digital, and you will also be limited to lengh of the tape time on a cassette version.
Will you be able to get the recorder out at night, listen to or download the audio, reload batteries, and put it back in the truck.
I will look for a digital recorder online that has long recording times, and post what I find here.

Amazon.com has lots of options, and prices. Almost all run off 2 AAA batteries, and will have simular battery life.
Something to keep in mind. If you install this at night, and he doesn't drive till the morning. You batteries are going to drain while your sleeping.
I'm hoping to find a recorder with a timer option.

Even if it is voice activated? I thought the recorder started when the voice activated it.

Yes it does start recording off the voice, but is turned on the entire time which does drain the battery life. Kind of like a cell phone being on uses up battery, but drains quicker while talking.

I used a voice activated digital recorder. When left on for extended time it automatically turned off. So I couldn't do the overnight thing. When I put it in the car in the morning it recorded the radio and him stopping at McDonalds but turned itself off while he was at work and I didn't get the on the way home phone time.
So, What I did was I got a detailed list of phone calls from nextel online site, cross referenced w/his schedule, cross referenced w/ATM withdrawls...to pin point nights and times they would meet. When it seemed likely they would have a meeting one night I put it in his car. I hit pay dirt. I didn't catch a phone conversation. They met in a parking lot and I got them both recorded. There was kissing but thank goodness not sex. I then gave the info to a PI so I could get 3rd party confirmation. He followed him on another night and found them doing the same thing.

Can you get the SIM # or IEMI # off the phone. There was another thread here talking about it. Our nextels were under my H name...on the phone to customer service they wouldn't help me at all because of it. But on line I was able to create an account w/ me as administrator. Somebody else thread I think they did the same thing yesterday...I forget who.

looks like you found the other thread...good.
What I did is I down loaded the instructions for creating an account to make sure I had all the info I needed...I had to do it while he was sleeping because he never let the flippin' phone out of his sight!
From what I remember it is a pretty lengthy process but so worth it! I registered my phone then his.
