Does anyone know if they can trace it back to you if you change a password to a hotmail account that doesn't belong to you? I can't figure out the password and would install a keylogger or software, but I don't have access to the work computer. I checked and I do know all of the info to change the password, so I can view the account. Is this a really bad idea?

If you change the password, then it will be obvious to the person someone was in the account. If the person persues it, yes they can track down who changed the password. The IP addresses are recorded.
