WH is stalling taking his stuff from the home. Says he doesn't have room at his place etc.

I'm trying to get in touch with attorney to see if I have to legally keep his stuff here any longer.

I've already filed for D and he got the papers.

Any suggestions?

Put it in the garage. If he threatens to call the police let him. Let the police know the WS does not make you and your family feel safe. When the WS attempts to convince the police he is sane, the crazed WS will show through. In many cases, domestic violence issues bring more than 1 officer. When they came to our home (WS call 911 on me when I was throwing his stuff on the front yard. LOL!!! 4 officers showed up, the WS decided to cuss them out (totally opposite of my real H)...... so instead of me being hauled out of there, they arrested him and he got to spend time with other crazed WS' and low life. Box it up, pay for the first month's fee at a storage facility, then send him (either via snail mail or his attorney) the contract so he can either pick up his stuff or pay to have it kept in storage. That way, HE can deal with it when the month is up, but it will no longer be taking up space amongst your things.

Either that or the reality of the D hasn't hit him yet, wanting to keep his stuff "home"

All his stuff is packed up and in the garage already. I think I'l give him one more chance to come and get it, then it goes to a storage place. Good idea!

Send ONE email or text message to him saying "The remainder of your belongings are boxed up in the garage. I'm taking them to so-and-so storage in one week." No reason to piddle around with him. Reality needs to sink in good and hard.

That's awfully nice of you to pay for the storage. I just put it in the garage and had a garage sale. Fortunately for him, he decided to come back b4 the sale but I was ready to get rid of all his power tools for real cheap! LOL!!! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

There was a case where a widow advertised her husband's cadillac for $1.00 in the local paper (I think it was in Texas). No one answered her ad for a few weeks. She kept the add going..... finally she got a call from a man who wanted to see the vehicle. When he came he saw the caddy was in almost new condition. He asked the widow why was she selling it for $1.00. She replied it was her H's. He had stipulated in his will to sell his caddy and give the $$ to his mistress. So she was complying.
