So I am an official divorcee. I have an ex-husband. I'm an ex-wife. The divorce was finalized Tuesday, and I had no idea until today.

While I am relieved the legal crap is over, I'm feeling pretty unhappy right now, thinking about the failure of the marriage, XH's affair and wedding plans, etc.

So now what??

I'm so sorry. I can feel your sadness and pain. Time, give yourself some time...that's what I think. Be nice to yourself and DD.

I am so sorry. I will be in the same boat as you in about a week. Mine is almost over and it does not get any easier.

I am having to deal with the maybe that the OW is moving into my home after my H buys it.

My heart goes out to you.

Thanks, all. On top of all that, my mom passed away Monday. I've got a thread going about that in the General Q II forum under infidelity. Very sad and very tough time I'm having right now... please keep my family in your prayers!

I WAS in the same boat, or I am in the same boat (divorced)......its been 5yrs. Let me tell ya, it gets better. Everyday you open your eyes all that past mess starts to fade away. God is good, and he will take care of you.

It does get much better. The actual divorce is a letdown. In many cases, there are still unresolved issues.
You will heal in your own time, and your child is the gift from the love of the marriage. You will always cherish her.

It was a marriage that never really started.

There is a verse in the Bible that I lean on when I simply do not understand........

[color:"blue"]The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. [/color]

Sometimes we don't understand. Sometimes we just need to hold on and do the best we can and not worry about the WHY
