Oh, please. This is exactly what Princess Diana said and did many years ago when she went to Afghanistan and other places and tried to bring attention to land mines.
Besides, I don't think it was Brad's idea to go to Namibia or anywhere else. He's just following his homewrecking wife and doing whatever SHE says.

Well, I'm not slave to entertainment glitter. I was told recently that I sorta looked like Brad Pitt - except for my face, my hair, and my body. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Don't know how Mr. Pitt compares with my "man" standard, but, giving $4M to African causes will do more good than most men in the world will ever achieve. So what that the money came from selling a pic of their baby? The fools are the ones who buy that stuff. Who's a better person (in this narrow regard)? The one who wastes their money on People magazine or Brad who gives it away to someone who needs it more? Hmmmmmmmm? This doesn't mean anyone should embrace their lifestyles - just admire their charity.

Yep, same feelings watching the AndersonCooper interview with Angelina. She's very charitable,giving lots of $$ to worthy causes and I respect that. Too bad she had to be so reckless with her private life--that will taint her image for as long as she lives. No remore=no sympathy.

I always wonder why actors are given any particular consideration with regard to world issues.

I liked it better when I was blissfully unaware although I did go into culture shock when I started watching TV again..who ARE these people I thought.

I was thinkin' it was 'cause of the money.
The cash that Brad Pitt donates will be a drop in the bucket comnpared to what the mag will make selling articles and pictures of him doing it.

The mags make more money from advertisers than subscribers lots of the time. They figure we may be too ashamed to buy the tabloid, but we'll check it out in the supermarket line.

Wat..you are probably within BLOCKS of where we used to live. Did you see Tencza Terrace get blowed up a few weeks ago at Ft Myer? It was in the paper.. I hope at least a few thousand [million...billion?] roach voices all cried out in unison at the bitter end. Now we live in Iowa. So..yeah..we did move quite a ways. What a terrific example he is setting, and why would his children need that much money anyway--why would any one person even need 1/30 of that much money?
