I just wanted to share a few pictures of the new baby for those who are interested:) I wasn't sure how to do that so below is a link to a myspace page I keep for family and friends since everyone is so spread out. Thanks much! I wanted to ask you about your kitchen countertops. Are those granite SQUARES? I just redid my kitchen, too, and did the counters in quartz SLABS, but I am checking into doing my guest bathroom in granite, either squares or slab. Did you contract out your remodel or did yall do it yourself? It looks wonderful!

Thanks! It was the first time I had remodeled anything. Steve has plenty of experience though.
Those are 1 foot by 1 foot squares. I would have never thought of using them for a countertop.... my parent have similar ones only in a different color on their kitchen floor!
I love them though. I can put pans on it right from the oven or stove. They're easy to clean and don't scratch either.

FIM, I read your posts over the last years (not sure if I posted or not, but I definately read). I was very impressed with you, your humour, your patience.
Today, for no particular reason (I rarely come here anymore) I did a search on you. I hit the jackpot when I saw your myspace page. All those smiling healthy children, WOW.
My heart felt good seeing that. Congratulations on your marriage. Congratulations on your new baby. And Congratulations on keeping your family safe and happy even when things were awfully rough.
