Thursday I came home from work and realized the phone wasn't working.....no dial tone, and got a busy signal when I called from my cell phone. Couldn't get a repair man till after the weekend, so I went to the Library and emailed my mom, brother, and ex to let them know they couldn't get ahold of us by phone or email (sigh, we're on dial up). Sunday afternoon, the sheriff shows up to check on us.....seems my ex called him and was all concerned because he kept getting a busy signal.

So what's up with that?

It sounds to me like he was concerned about the kids. In my old town, it would be easy to have the police check up on things, and not a big deal. I hope that was the case with you. How did you take it?

It was a marriage that never really started.

We explained to the sherriff about the phone and we all laughed and that was the end of it. The odd thing is that my ex only calls the kids when I"m not home and he knows it. And he can only have supervised visits. He's been escorted OFF the property by the sheriff in the past for trespassing and assaulting my H. I don't know, it was a little weird for him to call them; so I can't help but wonder what he was up to.
