The days pass and my heart is still an open wound
would you miss me if I was gone?
from your life, from my soul
I long for your love
for your touch, your smile, your caress
will it ever be there again?

Will you ever care for me, feel for me?
Would you miss me if I was gone?
Am I just your crutch until he comes along?
Would you miss me if I was gone?
It's hard for me to not love you
but my heart is an open wound

The nights get longer when I dream about you
Is it because I'm hoping you will love me?
Why do I choose to love you when I feel you cannot return the love?
would you miss me if I was gone?

My hopes and dreams are broken, I long for your love
over and over
How do I get through this?
Would you miss me if I was gone?

There is a clock on the wall ticking. I don't know where it is or what time it is but she's waiting for something. Actually, I think I found the clock. I can't see it clearly enough to read it though....

Wow. From one "poet" to another, wow. You just very eloquently expressed what I bet a lot of people here feel. Wow

Thank you. I've never written a poem before and this one literally poured out of me in about 10 minutes. I posted it on lovingyou.com and sent it to my WW.
