if I were a pirate

I'd dress in a red dress every day and swagger around in thigh-high boots ... and I'd cuss until all my freckles fell off ... too embarrased to be see with me

you need to accept the changes in yourself and use acceptance & faith as fuel to forge new progress

HOW?????

i am enjoying life and the opportunties that come with it.

i am certainly enjoying every moment with my kids.

but i must not be seeing the gift of my DH correctly.

i really need there to be new progress!!!

(sorry for the delay, i got called to lab)

and thanks for the quick response.

i KNEW you were going to ask that!!!!

i knew it cuz i realize if i can't envision it, how can i make it happen.

so just an inch of progress huh...

him smiling more, he is tired and down more often than not. at least when i am with him.

he sure seems to be fine with the kids when i'm at work.

he sure seems to enjoy the majority of his golf outings, unless he has a really bad game.

i want to see him enjoy my company.

and now you will say.... then be an enjoyable companion, right?

well, i must admit. i go from one extreme to the other.

Personally, I think, if i'm not upset over some recent event, I'm in a good mood.

BUT

i shy away from him if he does not seem happy. and i go clean, or do something with the kids, or just basically not really interact much with him. he mostly is watching tv in the evenings anyway.

but now i'm wondering to myself.... if he was asked the question "how smily is FL" what would his answer be?

see this is the thing... we don't interact much with each other as a couple on a regular basis.

and that is what i need to see change.

but the problem is, i do believe he is still here more because of the kids than anything else.

he is not happy all this has occured. and i don't see what is going to change that for him.

sooooooooooooooooooooo

change that

make him feel very very good

right now, I have my H in the palm of my hand

and he is the happiest he's ever been

I recently told him that I love him more now than I did when we married .... he's been grinnin' ever since (a week)

and it's true

the more I invest in him ... the happier he gets & consequently he would fight an army on my behalf

you stop before you start ... and guess what ???? I don't care ~why~ any more

tell him you think of him in the middle of the day.... call him up & moan !!!!!!!!

last night i told him, whispered it softly in his ear: "hey, in case i have not told you so lately, i'm so glad i'm with you, thanks for sticking with me"

i have NO IDEA how that made him feel.

he does not show his emotions.

as far as moaning to him. that is not an option!

2 days ago, when i came home from work, i told him thoughts kept popping into my head today about being with him, while attempting to grin sexy. his extremely NON-emotional response was "that's nice".

you are right, i stop pretty quickly. i don't think i stop before i start, but i stop very quickly. i get derailed very easily.

imagine yourself up on a stage trying to do a comedy routine. now imagine the audience is looking at you with a blank face. after a while, how often would you sign up to do a show? don't ya think at some point you get the idea... hey, i must not be very good at comedy, i better not quit my day job!!

i have to try something differently but i don't know what.

EN questionairs were supposed to be filled out by now but they are not. truthfully, neither of us have. he does not know if mine is done or not. he did tell me last weekend he had not gotten to his yet. i said no worries, i appreciate the update and left it at that. we have company coming next wed so the rest of the month will be hectic. i don't want to pressure him about it cuz that seems like it would defeat the purpose.
