Dear All
This is my first post here, I have been served a divorced pettition at work. I have replied to the court that me and WW are not ready for this big step at this stage as we have got 3 kids and we need at least 2 year time before start this (divorce business) though I have given some real facts i.e. WW is suffering from depression and baby blues therefore she is not in her sound mind to make this kind of serious decision.
after receiving the pettition, I have applied for the child contact and residence order as WW was not allowing me to see my kids. its been now more than six months, i haven't seen my kids. I have received the hearing date 20 July 06. and I am going to represent myself in the court (no solicitor) Can you please advise me what areas I should be more careful and what should I be asking.
I have got some few points as follows:
1) I would like to see my kids at least 3 times a week for 1 or 2 hour each. 2) I want to have my kids with me over the weekends. 3) I would like to be fully inolved in my kids eductions and school parent meetings etc. 4) because my parents lives abroad therefore I should be allowed to take my kids to see their grand parents at least once every year.
Please note that I do not have my own house and living in a shared house, (but I am planning to arrange a mortgage to buy a house soon.) I dont know how it will effect the case if WW will say that I haven't got my own house therefore I shouldn't be allowed a residence order.
Looking forward to see some advice.
Thanks & regards KFH
