Nams,

I wouldn't think that if you truly tried to learn the game and the people at the golf course could see it. The teaching pro at any course is the place to start. Ther are both male and female pros and I would recommend sseing a lady pro for you. Once she feels you are ready for the course she can help you find other players you will fit in with quite well.

Here in Reno they even have golf leagues in the evenings where they have wine tastings and dinner after golf. June thru August at one of the semi-private courses here. All you have to do is join the league and pay each time you play. Not competitive enough for me, but if the right lady were to express an interest you can bet I would join!

duk~

I agree with you! Tonight, I went out with a couple of friends and had 1 glass of wine in a 3 hour period. I was the driver, and that was plenty. Next time, it's someone elses turn, and I will have two!
I don't like to feel sloppy, and that's how I feel if I have more than I should. Not pretty!

The shopping cart is not doing me any favors either duk!
I need to think of a new plan.
I tried a golf clinic last summer. That game is hard! I can see why you don't drink. That could really mess with your game. I like what you're telling Nams about. That, I could do.

Sounds like you found a nice friend. You never know, it could develop into something quite nice. Be friends. How awesome would it be to fall in love with your best friend?

Good luck with the game!

Hi mlhb,

Pictures of me? Why ruin a perfectly good mental image with one that is decidedly inferior in both character and looks? It would only serve to change your perception of what I am saying and take away some of the mystery in our internet relationship. I like that part of the internet. You build an image and a perception of someone based soley on their thoughts and words rather than their looks.

Besides I dont have a digital image anyway. Not too big at the moment on collecting memories on film or in a file. The ruler does not scare me it's the verbal abuse you might dole out that is more terrifying. I will work on it and if I can find one that works for me you will get your wish. If I post one it will be one from the duck blind in full camo for sure. Better yet one with some birds in hand and a cigar burning too.

WHy are you up so late posting anyway? It's so hot here I could not sleep and decided to check in myself. The swamp cooler is on high all day and the ceiling fans running too and it still smokin here. I hate this time of year! Bring back the snow, at least you can dress for the cold.

blah blah blah... just put up the picture all ready! mine is there so you can get the real image of what a snob looks like! haha mine aren't the best either, but hey, it's me, take it or leave it.

why was i up sooooo late huh? good question since i normally am not.... i just could not sleep.. too much on my mind lately. wednesday i have court with the ex to decide a few things. it's more of an inconvenience than anything else but would prefer not to go at all. ugh! and, the big news of the day... gekko and i are meeting face to face for the first time after talking for over 4 months (will be 5 by the time we meet) on august 18 and I am feakin nervous about that! lol and so is he of course. the phone is safe ya know? no fear of rejection on the phone. we connect really really well and laugh, and talk about everything, share many of the same goals and ideas, etc. but there is still that in person fear of "what if we don't feel the same way once we see eachother in person" stuff.. it's scarey stuff duk! although the more we talk and share the more comfortable we are and i think that will make it easier. circumstances made it not be possible to meet before the 18th but it was important to me as well that we really know eachother before doing it, that we talk this long before doing it. he respected that completely. there is no rush for anything. but the countdown is on, 26 days and counting... reservations are made... this is really happening..... omg!

so, sleep has been hard to get lately.

i HATE too hot.. i don't usually have to worry about that where i live. it is usually just right to sleep. i do like winter too. fall is my favorite though by far. didn't realize you got snow in nevada... interesting.

ok, gotta run. getting out the ruler if no pic soon! LOL
that goes for everyone here! i promise not to verbally abuse you... you are hard on yourself i am sure... mlhb

Thanks duk, I appreciate your advice. I've been looking for an alternative (from the dating sites) to meet men. The only way to know if I'll like golf is to to give it a try with a lesson. We do have a driving range quite close what do you think about taking classes there VS a golf club to begin?

mlhb - how do I get to the photo area? I know I did it a couple of years ago. Thanks.

I am a victim. I emailed this woman four months ago looking for simple divorce advice from the female perspective. I can't get rid of her. She has broken me down and is forcing to meet her in Albany, NY. I do work in Albany, Georgia. She is blonde. I think she is confused.

I miss you Karona. Please help me with this crazy woman. I think I may end up liking her, a whole heck of a lot. Email me anytime if you want my true side of the story.

For the record my divorce is final August 1st, three weeks b4 blondie and I meet.

So duk, that is my side of the story. Do you have any good guy advice for dealing with this situation?

Gekko,

Be afraid dude, be very afraid. You go where no man has ever gone before and returned unscathed. You are a much more courageous man that I am. That being said, go forth and have a great time. I hope the two of you enjoy every minute. Even if you just turn out to be friends everyone still wins.

Your only real concern is to make sure her last name is not "Bobbit". Who knows what mlhb could stand for? Piss her off and we'll be calling you "stubby". You see how she gets over posting pictures haven't you? Imagine real anger!

I will be hearing from her shortly about this post I"m sure and I will be paying the penalty for being a smarta**. It does make me feel good to hear about people healing up and getting out there again. I'm just starting to get comfortable enough to try again myself and I'm sure she told you about one of my first dates. Not the best start, that is for sure. I'm not going to give up, I'm just going to become a whole lot more picky.

Good Luck to both of you!

i think you are both smart*sses! lol

no, my last name is not bobbit either duk, very funny... i would never chop off a part of the male anatomy that can be beneficial to me! hahahahaha

don't feel too sorry for gekko... he knows exactly what he is getting himself into, do NOT let him fool ya...

blonde and confused huh? don't worry about you getting in trouble duk... someone else should be more worried after a statement like that... gekko may have brown hair but he has been known to have blonde roots on occassion so..... *wink*

yea duk, i told gekko to read your post... he will be getting back to you on that in the future i'm sure.

so where's that picture duk... i'm starting to get really angry here... or so YOU say... lol yup, me and my anger issues... hahahaha

thanks for your input duk... like gekko needed any encouraging..... right... mlhb

oh, and mlhb are my initials.... they stand for "mighty lovely hot blonde" hahahahahahaha

Hey now, you're the one that's been MIA. You're forgiven!

So, you have a side of the story? You coming in late with that don't ya think??

I wish you well on 8/1 gekko. You will be amazed how much easier it is to breath after it's finalized. You will finally feel you can move on/start over, and things will fall into place. You will see.

I wish you and mlhb the best! We will all want a report!
Not Full, just a report.

Good to see you.

mlhb,

I had a few other ideas about you initials:

- Major League Hair Brain

- My Lobotomy Helped Bunches

- Momma Likes Hairy Boys

- Manly Legs, Huge Butt?

This could go on for a long time! My favorite though is " Much Laughter, Happy Banter. I'm sure gekko has a few of his own to throw in here too. It's always a pleasure to hear from you and I'm sure I will hear back on this one.

duk

I'd love to except for two things. One- we have a computer nazi at work who monitors non-work related internet use and reports to management. So I sneak a few lines when I can and that's it. Secondly- I'm not geeky enough to know what you are talking about. Yahoo what? You will have to help me out on that one.

No more blind dates set up by the demented cleaning lady!!!!! Did I tell you that on the night I found out about the married date that the cleaning lady was there. At 3am she was curled up in a fetal position in a chair at the restaurant while we had breakfast. A flask of Padron had finished her off hours earlier. She blamed it on one martini half way thru the night. Before we left the girls had to escort her to the bathroom to "purge". I drove all four gals home as the DD. No I did not have to clean out my truck afterward, thank god!

SO how can we do this without me running afoul of the nazi at work? Let me know and I'm game. All of you make me laugh and I dearly love to laugh.

Just finished trying a new duck recipe for our BBQ at the Thursday night wine tasting. Once a month a bunch of us bring the barbie and cook up different stuff for anyone who is interested. Amazing way to meet a bunch of new people in a hurry. Tonight it was "Duck Poppers". Breast chunks wrapped in bacon with a slice of jalapeno inside. Paint on some sauce when cooked and BAM, tasty treats! A good way to get rid of a freezer full of ducks too. Two months to go until the season begins again.

oh duk... what are we going to do with you?
first off, promise that you will invite me and gekko to one of those wine tasting bbq things, sounds fun! never had duck though... not getting yummy vibes from the thought of ducks..

as far as using messenger at work, i don't have computer access at work. gekko does but i don't think he usually uses messenger at work do ya gekko??? if he does he might be able to tell you how to get by the nazi. don't you have a computer at home?? we usually hang out in the evening and chat.

a yahooID....
well, do you have a yahoo email address? first you sign up for yahoo which is free. it will tell you how to download messenger and then you can start adding people to it. that simple.

geez duk, i know your're pushing 50 there but come on....! LOL LOL LOL

let us know if you figure out how you could do it and we will help you. in the mean time, we'll just keep talking about you since you aren't there? hahahahaha
