Pep, I wanted to thank you from the bottom of me heart for recommending the book "Zen and the ARt of Motorcycle Maintenance." We got it in yesterday. H read the preface, wasn't to keen on it but took a chance and is finished with chapter one. He work until 7pm each night, little time to read, but he says it's great so for. Said he even might learn something! I was shocked.

ahhhhhhhhhh
it's about a man and his son who take a cross country road trip ... (on motorcycles) .... and it is about their developing a new meaningful father-son relationship
and it's about discovering a more rational way to live
and it's about values guiding decisions
it's such a difficult book to explain...
it could be read simply as an adventure .... but it is an adventure story of how one can live life to the fullest Pep

Is your husband an NBA fan?
This is the book that Phil Jackson (Lakers coach of fame) has based much of his coaching philosophy from.

No, he's not! But he seems to be enjoying this one...I can let him know that you recommended another. Who knows? He did play basketball in HS. I'll offer it to him when he finishes this one.
Book sounds pretty deep, he's good at thinking when he wants to. I'm sure he'll finish it learning something! Almost positive!

Pep there is no other book ! LOL Phil Jackson , the famous Los Angeles Lakers Coach ... is called The Zen Master ... by his players ~because~ Zen & The Art of M Maintenance is Jackson's all-time-favorite book and he applies some of the book's ideas to his coaching the men to reach "excellence" Pep

Jackson cites Robert Pirsig's book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance as one of the major guiding forces in his life. His fond admiration for the book is the source of his nickname "The Zen Master." this is from Jackson's bio
