WGL's visit opened A LOT of old, scabbed over wounds for me.

Everything went well....considering.

I had to interview with her. I got to hear what VD says about the Wookie. Apparently, she says that the night before VD had to interview with WGL VD says the Wookie called her and asked her out for a beer. That's VERY amusing since that was the weekend that my SIL took the kids. That very day, the Wookie and I had PLANNED to go out. Remember? We went to the flea market where he bought me a pool stick, then we went out all night....WE PLANNED IT. How the ****** is he gonna call her for a beer WHEN WE WERE ALREADY OUT????

Oh and VD has said that the Wookie told her that the only reason he is with me is so he can get the children from her. Then he's leaving me after he finds a 21 year old to run away with.

In my very best Austin Powers voice....RRRIIIIGGGGHHHHTTTT.

She interviewed the kids...and OMG! Leondra told her that she wants to stay with us forever because VD says that she hates her (Leondra). WTF?

We were stunned when the WGL told us. STUNNED. But after the mini meltdown in the car last Tuesday night when Leondra said that she "couldn't take this anymore", then the next morning with the bed wetting incident...I'm wondering....doubting...dying to even think a mommy would tell her child something like that.

I did inform the WGL of the bedwetting and the meltdown. Told her I had to appeal to you all (my mommy friends is what I call you) because I WANT to give VD the benefit of a doubt. I WANT for her to mommy up, but it's gotten so bad now that I have to bounce it off of people to remember what normal moms would do. I mean, I know what I do....and I understand different mothering styles....but she is so out there that my objectivity gets skewed....

It was awful....hearing what VD said about the Wookie calling her....sickening.

The thing is...I know he used to be ugly like that. During the A he was a rat ******....so he could have said those things...but it had to be ages and ages ago that he said them....and she STILL hasn't let any of it go.

WGL also asked what I thought of VD's boyfriend. I told her about the violence (and showed her our copies of the police reports that VD has filed against the boyfriend) and told her I KNOW he's said things to her that I would NEVER wish on the skankiest nastiest person in the world. NO ONE DESERVES to be treated that way. I told her that I think VD settles for whatever she can get from a man....and that her track record of overlapping men shows her fear of being alone. For goodness sake, she still hasn't D'd HER husband.

Ask ??s. I'm sure I left stuff out. It was awful for me...today I don't feel much better.

Oh and I told the Wookie everything....his reaction....weariness. It kills him that I am hurt by her. But his reaction to my pain tells me volumes ... no defensiveness, only caring.

And he made a rule. If I'm gonna kiss him, I have to kiss him for at least 10 seconds.

I think I'm liking that rule.

I never had to take the Kobayashi Maru test until now. What do you think of my solution?

10 seconds and counting ........... <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I can understand the triggers. They happen from time to time. But you did great! You are wonderful~
You're right, it's the past. Wookie doesn't do those things anymore.

Thanks for the update. No time to write at the moment, but it looks like you've got one less hurdle in your future. Congrats!

I've been thinking about this quite a bit and here's my take. She had her moment of everything going her way. Her plans were going in the direction she wanted. He was behaving as she wanted. The fact that it was a nightmare to you was completely irrelevant to her or made her feel superior.

Now things are moving VERY firmly in your direction. There are ways that she could have impact on the outcome, but they're ways she doesn't understand. She could be a better mom and stay away from toxic men. She could be responsible and grow. She just can't or won't understand that method.

She's still hoping that she can make things go back using the old methods. If she creates enough chaos and just pretends hard enough, maybe her old dreams will come true. How sad is that?

I'm royally pissed that her delusions hurt you. But I think after you lick your wounds for a few days, you'll really appreciate what a desperate ploy this was on her part.
