My first H was so awful that between the restraining order and my selfmade witness protection program he'd have never had the opportunity.

LOL....too funny!!

My EX said it........... Several times.

.......its almost like they are saying....I want to test the waters for as long as I like as a single person, and if I dont like it or get tired of it, I will call you and no matter how you feel or even if you are in a new relationship, we can remarry.

Mine probably said it before the divorce, but I probably laughed myself unconscious at that point. He said a lot of funny things. When I told him I wanted a divorce, he asked if we could have a baby.

You have NO idea. He deployed to Egypt for a month. When he came home, he said that God had spoken to him in the desert and told him that the end was near. He kept me up most of the night reading bible passages about how I needed to quit sinning. This is the same man who had multiple affairs, lied, embezzled money from my brother, killed my pets, nearly killed me, etc.

He also bought a bunch of Goldenseal tea to purify his body because "I woke up and my roommates were smoking hash". Yeah, right.

I'll bet 99.9% say this one way or another at some point.

It's clearly an ease the guilt or ease the moment strategy.

Selfish cowards.

Ironic thing is that probably a lot more of them come to think about it later than the BSs they left. BSs learn a LOT faster.

My WS has never really said that. We're not divorced yet, so who knows. She has, however, said that she just 'needs' to be single for 'awhile', and that she thinks that I 'need' to be that way too.

Whatever that means.

Yes. I heard "have faith, have hope, it will be a really great romantic story down the road for the us to find our way to each other again, I have such high hopes we'll be back together that I'm leaving the Christmas stuff with you, we have no chance of ever being happily together unless we divorce and have time apart to heal, I'm not taking your retirement because we'll be back together"

All lies. Don't believe it. Women will tell you that and use it to beat you down and agree to sign on the dotted line to her terms in a divorce. Many, many men fall for it and sign away A LOT.

I signed physical custody of my children over to her.

Big mistake.

Wow. That's one for the books (if we ever compile one). YIKES!!! The mind of the WS (or lack thereof), truly amazes me how STUPID they can be. The mothership is doing a number on the current WS' and really stepping up their stupid quota. Must be all the alumni feedback. LOL!!!

My 39-year-old STBXW of 18 years having an A with a 55-year-old with a severe liver condition (go figure), spoke to me while in a deep fog:

WW (paraphrase): "You know, I look at OM, and I think in 10 years he's going to be on Social Security or dead. But I look at you, and in 10 years you'll be looking pretty good."

ME: Huh?

****

This was followed by such classic snippets as:

ME: "Don't go back to his place, check into a hotel (she was in another city), and when you come home and things settle down we'll figure out a plan."

HER: "But I'm in a relationship."

ME: Huh?

Ahhh...the joy of it all.
