I read this and I just wanted to share. Skip to the part that says This Means That: The beginning is very boring but it is short.

Good article
My first reaction to the car battery example was that I had a good laugh, but because I am not at stage 5, (acceptance of the sad relics of my marriage), it also made me feel queasy. I still have a little bit of fight left in me.

And let's not forget, that Kubler-Ross wrote about these 5 stages in a background of an unchangeable fact.

I am a believer in hope, and "it's not over til it's over" and I demand a second option.
Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Refuse to give up, Back to (some kind of) happiness.

Thanks for pointing out the article

What I liked about it is that it seems to align well with recovery. If you so choose.

Especially the Reinvest in the new reality.

T = To accept the reality of the loss
E = Experience the pain of the loss
A = Adjust to the new environment without the lost object
R = Reinvest in the new reality
