In fact this zilly furriner is going to bed now (10.30 PM here now).
I lost a lot of sleep with the 1-month heat wave here in Belgium.
It's FINALLY cooled down... weeeeeh !!

Have a nice breakfast, Aussies and Kiwis..
Have a nice lunch, West Coast...
Have a nice dinner, East Coast...
And er... brunch for Hawaii!

Mel... IWRA did say atleast one thing in the Blackopal thread that I have to agree with...

Quote
when a person first comes here they feel so alone and scared with a group of people that already know one another.

This is not the fault of the group that is here... but an issue within the many people who come here. It was my issue. It took me a short while to make my first post. I received a lot of great help, especially since I was a BS... but it is a more difficult task to go from a newbie looking for help... to an accepted "member".

My personal feeling is I am somewhere in that awkward stage between the two... does that mean I'm just hitting puberty?

Even though it is a group of anonymous members, it can still have the same scary feeling of going to a new high school.

I never had much issue in school becoming accepted... but I was never in any one crowd... I was able to go from crowd to crowd and be accepted... but on the fringe. (The jocks, the cool crowd, the band group, the intellectuals, the ones hanging out back smoking... which I never tried but was ok to be with them). I believe this is partially an issue from moving around a lot as a kid and now is an issue with getting to real intimacy. I'm more comfortable on the fringe. This is one thing about myself I am not happy with and am working on changing.

Mrs. W... I saw your question about taking sides and it is a good one. I have some initial thoughts but am thinking it through further before I respond.

Cool Shaden...I look forward to reading!

On the "in crowd" thing...In my life, I have just always operated from the assumption that I would be part of any "in crowd"...An optimistic perspective that I believe has served me well...Perhaps naive or something else, I dunno...

I know what you mean very well. I had those same feelings when I came here and I imagine every one does in a new environment, whether it be on the internet, at a new church, at work, etc. I guess that never changes, huh? [eh? ]
