Whadda you mean you "CAN'T be true" to your husband/boyfriend? Can't implies you have no choice -- the WS ALWAYS has a choice. They choose to have an affair.

For me, the pain of this thought, that somehow my wife can't be true to me (or anyone) is killing me.

And then there's the whole:

I know my reaction may be over the top, but my WW and I chose to not tell our children (16 and 17) yet about her affairs. They play this song in their car (when I'm riding with them) and I struggle with how to get it to another song without letting them know it hurts me to hear it. I shared this with my WW and she thinks I'm being a bit childish, but she has helped change the station.

Yes, they are powerful lyrics. Just too powerful for me at this time.

Sorry, I wasn't implying it was about you. If you are a Betrayed Spouse then I guess you have some of the same reaction I do when reading the lyrics.

It seems to be a gross rationalization of why she HAS to cheat on her man -- "I can't help myself", "It's not you, it's me", etc.

I hate to hear it so mainstream.
