I was chatting with my WH this morning and some lighter text phrases kept popping up between the normal dark texts. The light text phrases were somewhat off the subject we were chatting about, but repetitive in some other cases. The light text was from him, but he didn't know what I was talking about when I asked. The text disappeared when he went off line.

What does the light text mean? Was it possibly a 3-way convo?

Sometimes that is an undeliverable message text. It tells you that you may be having some connections issues, and some of the messages are dropping. Did he act like he was getting some 'lag'/delays in the messages going back and forth. A 3 way convo would show up pretty clearly. I don't think you would miss it. Nor would he.

I know that with MSN you really have to explicitly invite a third party. It shows on the screen.
It's possible that with an accidental combination of key strokes something weird pops up in the conversation.

It was Gmail chat. I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not?
