It's hard to beat Atlanta for connections from everywhere & cheap fares with Air Tran & Delta going at it constantly. Check Air Tran's site. VERY cheap flights right now. Fall is an awesome time of the year down here too!

And...TONS to do in the "capital of the South!"

Nams, I know you are in CT. I have flown in and out of Providence on non-stop flights from Nashville. Don't know how far that is from you, though.

Ah, Wiffty....you know you ought to come too. You just never know who you might meet.

CGW, you can't be from Bananaville, too. I've been here forever and I've never met anyone else from Music City.

I am NOT GOING TO NASHVEGAS...nuff said...sorry Cindy...but I am not going to the town where the Crown Prince of Legalities and Omission and his bisexual threesome paralegal consort consort with one another...that wound is too fresh..

unless we frequent their hangouts...and we torture HIM into seeing me and seeing all of us having fun and laughing about how your friend Peach used to date a guy who lied to her about dating some psycho [censored] paralegal from a "certain" large hugely large legal practice in Nashvegas? I do know his haunts...

Now my hometown...HOTLANTA...is cool! WE have incredible things to do! We have cheap flights...huge airport...tons of stuff to do...we have the aquarium (complete with FOUR COUNT EM FOUR WHALE SHARKS)...we have six flags...we have incredible restaurants (including a new midevil times)we have tons and tons of stuff to do! Hotlanta braves...hotlanta hawks...buckhead and awesome shopping...lake lanier islands waterparks...cool resorts on the lake...etc...

'Rella says you don't have to come to Nashvegas. You can come to Bananaville........It won't be the place you went with idgitboy. It can be where you met your long-lost pals. Mindset, Peacy, mindset. Besides, we can go play laser tag and pretend we are shooting at mister stupid head.

I, for one, can not go to the Atlanta Aquarium unless I take my children. It has been declared thusly. Because of the Beluga Whales.

The whales are sooooo cute...gaspar is still under the weather...praying for that cutie btw...but doing better...I am btw a member of the aquarium! it is incredible!

the four sharks? Incredible...like four school buses swimming by you.

now cindy if I went to nashvegas or bananaville...I would want to haunt the Baffoon of Barristers! I sure would! I would love to hang out at his haunt...be there laughing with you guys...having a cosmo...looking better than the trisexual manic depressive paralegal! I love to stick it to em'...whenever I can...sorry, but his "sin of omission" is still smarts...and I think...why avoid when you can flaunt?

Nothing like seeing what an idgit can't have right? Just because the poophead wanted instant gratification a la clinton under the desk stuff instead of an intelligent relationship with a decent and even somewhat cuter girl...who's not a trisexual into threesomes and breaks into her boyfriends' house for fun...

I have never flown Southwest, I'm not near a hub.
And Hotlanta, the airport has always been one of the worst for security lines, and I'd presume it has gotten worse. Then again, I'm back in the world of going through customs on business trips, which just extends everything.

Let me know when, where and I hope to make it.
I still like the NYC area though.
Anyone for Atlantic City?

AC is certainly more doable then Tenn. or Atlanta.

Thanks wiftty, if this comes together with lots of lead time there will be more possibilities.

cinder, I prefer Prov., it's my airport of choice. It's only about 45 min. away. NY or NJ are out. Last time I flew out of NY I swore I'd never do it again. NJ has some of the same problems NY does, distance, 2 1/2 to 3 hours of 95 nightmare.

actually hartsfield airport is not that bad...unless you fly at say seven am or five pm...the hot times for the business travelers...and then it's not that bad.

the initial few days after the terror plot was thwarted, lines were huge...as were at any airport anywhere.

but atlanta is tops in fares to and from! and lots to do in hotlanta...great restaurants...great hotspots...nice lakes...mountains close by...gorgeous lake w/mountain views that are absolutely stunning in fall with color change in foliage!

gotta go..time to read to ds before bed..it's his birthday today! I love him so

Well, as a single mom with two teenagers, one of whom is in a private school, a mortgage, and working in government grossing less than $32K per year, I have a feeling flying to the northeast is out of the question for me.

I fly Southwest when I do fly - if at all possible. My last experiences with Northwest and American were horrendous. Atlanta is driving distance.

Considering that I just dropped $1K for car repairs, airline tickets are a pipedream.

Cin,
Keep working on it. If we schedule something, wherever, I think we'll get at least a few people.

Cinder, I'm in pretty much the same boat you are that's why I suggested the CT casinos. Boy, are they within driving distance.

I could only fly if some incredibly good deal came up. We'll see what location gets settled on.

CT would be great for me as well, but if there is a decently priced flight, I'm game.

Hey, I'm game if you are picking up the expenses.....

You know, I wouldn't even mind Montreal. Or Vancouver, San Diego, San Francisco, Tucson, Portland, Charleston, Williamsburg, Chicago, Atlanta, Nashville, London, Paris, Rome, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Beijing, Sydney, Melbourne, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Ft Lauderdale, Auckland, Rotorua, Vienna, or any of a zillion places.
