[color:"blue"] After interviewing all parties, the children of this suit, checking references, and consulting with collaterals it is the opinion of this investigator that both Wookie and VD love their children. It appears that VD is making a concerted effort to better herself in order to provide a more financially secure home for her children. However, based on the information gathered from the above sources, as well as from TDPRS (CPS), it appears that VD may be currently overwhelmed by her responsibilites and therefore, unable to provide for the emotional and physical well-being of her children. Further, it is unclear from the reports obtained by this investigator, whether or not VD has completed all requests made by TDPR. Additionally, this investigator has concerns about the validity of some of her statements, as she claimed that Wookie was attempting to reestablish the affair, when [color:"purple"]evidence suggests[/color] that she is the one who wants the affair to begin again.[/color]
[color:"blue"] Therefore this investigator requests that the Courts consider the following recommendations:
1. Wookie and VD should be named Joint Managing Conservators of the Minor children. Wookie should be given the right to establish the primary domicile of the children within (our) County.
2. VD should be given standard visitation per the Texas Family Code.
3. Wookie, Kim, and VD should attend Cooperative Parenting Sessions with the fee to be paid by Wookie.
4. The parties should be consciously aware of how their actions and words affect the relationship betweed the children and the other parent. Neither party shall participated in any type of alienation of the other parent and should monitor what is said to, and in the presence of, Leondra and Antonio.
5. A Parenting Coordinator should be appointed to this case to help ensure the emotional and physical well being of the children,t o manage any parenting disputes/issues that may arise, and to make recommendations regarding adjustments to the custody arrangements when deemed necessary to protect any and all parties.
6. The parties should be bound by the Loving and Caring Order, and the Bill of Rights for Children in Divorce Actions.[/color]
Other stuff in the report:
[color:"blue"] Wookie is of the opinion that VD is not emotionally stable as he reported that she has attempted suicide in the past.
VD's response: she said she was with Wookie one evening when a glass broke and she accidentally cut her wrist.
Findings from WGL: In regards to Wookie's concerns, this investigator does not believe that VD is a bad mother, but that due to limited resources and the number of children in the home, she is clearly having some difficulties. Furthermore, this investigator is concerned that due to the number of children in the home and the fact that she is not recieving child support for her four eldest daughters she is having difficulty providing for them. However, it does appear that she is attempting to improve her family situation by going to school and therefore increasing her ability to be gainfully employed. This investigator shares Wookie's concern regarding the physical wellbeing of the children as there has been TDPRS involvement in the past, Further, VD seemed to make excuses for the continued promblem of head lice. Additionally, Wookie provided police reports that seem to confirm his concerns regarding violence. Regarding the suicide attempt this investigator is concerned that VD possibly harmed herself intentionally with no thought to the welfare of her children. WHile VD seemed to dismiss this incident as an accident, the boyfriend substantiated the claim.
VD's concerns: How Kim and Kim's family treats Leondra and Antonio since they are not her biological children. Wookie is too strict.
Wookie's response: Kim loves Leondra and Antonio. Furthermore, he said that Kim's family does not blame the children and treats them like family - always sending cards and presents.
WGL findings: This investigator does not believe that there is a lack of love or affection between Kim and the chidren. Additionally, this investigator does not view Wookie's parenting style as harmful, but as an effective means for setting boundries and protecting the children. [/color]
Other stuff: One of VD's references said Wookie is a good father. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
VD says that Wookie is a workaholic....SNORT!
She said he never tried to break it off with her....SNORT!
We do not have a criminal history...both her and her boyfriend do.
VD is listed in the TDPRS database as a perpetrator of child abuse/neglect.
The report listed stuff in the kids rooms at both houses. Our lists are beds for each child, books, bookshelves, dressers, TV, CD players, toys, dolls and crayons/color books, posters on the walls. Her list consists of 1 bed in each of their room that they share with an older sister, TV and stereo. - THAT'S IT!
VD said that if Wookie had Antonio and Leondra or if he would pay more child support (for daycare) it would be easier for her to work in the evenings.
