I miss my old H. I'm having a hard time today because I keep thinking about him throughout the morning. Sigh. How to I make these thoughts go away? I'm so frustrated.

Looking forward to a new chapter since D was finalized on 4/24/07 from WH.

Think of the NOW husband sleeping with the OW. That used to work for me.

Do you have any hobbies? That was one of the first questions I was asked when I started posting. you know I had never thought about it before. I had become OS's mom, and YS's mom, and H's wife. I couldn't tell you what I liked to do or anything else. I was the right hand woman at work.

What do you like to do? What's your passion? If you have something like that I find it's easier to get through the rough patchs.

I hope that helps and I'm sorry that you find yourself in this position.

I like to run. I ran a race in August and I'm training for another one. It's hard during the work week where I find my mind wandering. How do I train myself to "turn off" those thoughts of my former loving H? The one who was caring, generous and patient. He pledged his life to me and was my biggest role model. He is still the love of my life. Am I crazy? I can't see my life without him. I would do anything to turn back time and take back all the insensitive things I said to him.

I was coping really well for awhile but right now, his absence makes my heart ache. I think I'm losing my mind.

Well, there a process called detachment that many of us have used. It has been very useful in my situation, especially when WH was being mean and trying to hurt my feeling. It might be helpful for you.

What have you done for yourself? If you look back to d-day and compare it to now, do you feel like you have gotten strong? Can handle things better?

I think you also need to stay present...thinking about the past will not help you in this sitch...unfortunately your H is on Mars or some other planet right now...it would be in your best interest to accept your new reality...

I'm not trying to dismiss your pain...I've been there...hurting and aching...I was in my last quarter of college when my H, then BF, moved three hours away...

First couple of days I was good...then, I could make it throught the day but my heart broke every night and I cried for hours...wrote long letters...called him all the time...and was like a kid at Christmas when I saw him...

You are not losing your mind...you are fine...You are a wonderful person apparently one with great endurance...you CAN endure this too. You are not crazy....but you need to get centered again...stay focused...

Pray and don't pray on the problem...pray for the answer. Pray for strenght...endurance...you'll get it!

I'm not the best around here...but I hope that this helps!

Keep your chin up! Your doing good!

hi ready,

I'm including three verses here I hope will help...

"The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all." Psalm 34:18-19

"...let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:1-2

"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new..." Revelation 21:4-5

Put your faith in Christ Jesus and you will find peace and joy through all this turmoil. I know it's hard sometimes but it truly is right for the soul.

I read Revelation 21 and 22 recently, it describes Heaven. Now there is something to be excited about, that no matter what happens here on earth Christ has gone before us to prepare a place for us. (John 14:2) What a great Hope we have!

"Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known." 1 Corinthians 13:12
