I've been reading up on personality disorders and the histrionic one seems to really fit my husband. Anyone have to deal with this?
Me - BS 34
WH - 39
Married 9/17/05 (2nd marraiges for both)
Friends since childhood
EA - 8/05-10/05
D-day: 10/19/05 (I moved out)
Moved back in together: 12/7/05
I moved back out 2/22/06 due to emotional abuse and very mild physical abuse
7 children between ages of 6 months and 15.
I moved back in on 11/25/06.
We are still each in IC...

My WW really seems to fit that bill, though we'll never know because she's too proud to admit that she might have a problem. Thus, she won't go to see a counselor. Maybe someday she'll realize that there is a problem and go to do something about it.

Symptoms
Individuals with histrionic personality disorder:
* Display excessive but shallow emotions and attention-seeking behaviors. These individuals are constantly “performing” in order to gain attention.
* Experience fleeting moods, opinions, and beliefs. They are also very suggestible and quick to respond to fads.
* Generally need others to witness their emotional displays in order to gain validation or attention.
* Often display exaggerated symptoms of weakness or illness and may use threats of suicide to manipulate others. Also, many suffering from histrionic personality disorder use sexually provocative behaviors to control others or gain attention.
