I'll be in Chicago on Sunday night with my kids. Does anyone from here live there, near downtown and want to meet?
One night only. I'm there for a conference.

Courtyard. We're staying with family in the northern burbs over the weekend. I'm speaking at a conference on Monday. I have a babysitter who will take my kids on a field trip. I'm thinking the Children's Museum at Navy Pier since it is very close (and open on Monday). I'll probably take them to American Girl on Monday morning.
Any other ideas for a 3 hour field trip?

If the weather is nice, you really should try and get to Millenium Park - see the "bean" and the fountain park and gardens.....Anything along the lakefront is awesome. Don't forget the Sears Tower - if you've got a clear day, it's worth it to take a trip up to the top - the view is outstanding!

I'll keep thinking....

I'm thinking on a single event because my children outnumber the sitter.
I don't think I'd do the Sears Tower due to terrorism. I live near NYC, but I hear from my family, that Sears Tower may be a more likely target in the near term.

How about a matinee performance of Wicked? The theatre is gorgeous, and the show is about 2 1/2 hours long. Kids just LOVE it.....unless you've seen in already?

Thanks. The theatre is dark on Mondays. Shedd is farther away, and I won't meet the babysitter until that day.

I can't, have family visiting from Ohio that weekend.
Before that I'll be in Boston for a day, and the next week in Moncton for two nights. Such an exciting life.

I hope to be near Canton next year visiting Cedar Point for the first time in 25 years. They are now part of the amusement park season pass network we use.
Should we have an MB meeting next summer at Cedar Point?
