That's right. I haven't been on MB b/c I've been so busy getting things ready. We sold the house, the closing is Nov. 2, and my closing on my new place is the same day, but I'm moving this weekend. I did it. I bought a townhouse for DD and me. It's exciting and scary and sad all at once.

Exciting, because I'm looking forward to closing this chapter of my life and moving on. Besides DD, the house is the last tie I have to XH. It'll be cool to have my own place, to decorate it how I want, to make new memories.

It's scary b/c it's just me responsible for this, and it's a big responsibility.

It's sad b/c of all the memories I have here. I hate to just leave. I really wanted DD to grow up in this house, the big airy rooms, the beautiful yard, and all her friends in the neighborhood. All the hard work we put into the house, making it look nice. The fact that my dad helped us so much with it. Finishing the bonus room was one of the last things he did before he died. *sigh* I think I'm going to go take one last bubble bath in my garden tub... I'm going to miss my huge bathroom!

So glad to hear from you. Really sounds like you're putting your life back together and making the best out of a bad situation.

Good luck to you and your DD.

Try to enjoy the process.

I'm a little jealous of having a clean slate of a house to do with what I want. The options are endless. I hope you have fun with it.

I hope you have wonderful neighbors and parks close by.

Good Luck.
