Your wife will NEVER let go of her feelings for OM while there is contact.
Why do you think your situation is so unique? That is just so arrogant. This is stock standard adulterous affair 101 man.
You can NEVER get over this until there is no contact. NEVER.

Big K,
He will realize all of this soon enough. Some have to learn it the hard way. I had hoped that his faith in God was strong enough that he would follow Him. But it is not at this point.
As he said, he would rather set aside what God says for what he wants to do. Unfortunately, both he and his wife will suffer for this decision.
But he will not listen to anyone. Not to experience. Not to the experts. Not even to God. And there is nothing we can do about it.
He knows we are here. He knows what God expects. When he is ready, he will hopefully bend his knee to Him. Of course, we will be there to help him.
I just pray things dont get too screwed up before he realizes this.

e55699, where and how are you ?????? How did the meeting at your house go, if it ever came off, that is???
Marsh, I asked Pastor about this situation. For the record, we are Lutheran, Missouri Synod. I also asked a friend who is an Elder in a Bible Church. The answers were similar. The Pastor should step in and talk to the people involved and try to resolve the situation, hopefully before it comes out into the open and the congregation finds out. They will be prohibited from working in the same ministry. The meeting he was talking about would be an absolute no-no if OM is involved. If the situation cannot be resolved for whatever reason, one or both parties will be asked to leave the church. If they do not, they could be removed from membership. In my opinion, if the situation does come out in the open and the Pastor does not intervene, it would be a heavy blow to his credibility. That is our opinion, yours may differ. From what I could find, Prayer Mountain could be a retreat either in the US or outside the country. E, where you aware of the EA when they went there???
Marsh, can I use your siggy line (Heartsore's) in my siggy line on another discussion board?

This is exactly what I believe should happen in e5's situation. From what I could find, Prayer Mountain could be a retreat either in the US or outside the country. Yes, that's what I found too. Korean, right? Marsh, can I use your siggy line (Heartsore's) in my siggy line on another discussion board? Of course. I wouldn't mind if you used it here. ~ Marsh

When we looked up Prayer Mountain at work the Pentecostal retreat in South Korea came up. 800,000 members !!!!!!!!!! WOW !!! I tried looking again here at home and a few sites in the US came up. Could not find the Korean site again....I am not sure what search engine my friend at work used.

Could not find the Korean site again....I am not sure what search engine my friend at work used. From what I could find, this church began in Korea, and some of these churches have been planted in the US. Wikipedia had some interesting things to say... MOUNTAIN PRAYER <-------- Click here. This is what it had to say about Yoido Full Gospel Church... Theology Some regard the teachings of the church as divergent from mainstream Christianity, in that it teaches that salvation brings material wealth. This church has been criticised for cult similarities and divergence/heresy by the Rick A. Ross Institute, a non-profit organisation dedicated to giving public information about cults and strange religious groups. The Rick A. Ross Institute documents suggest that this church is a mixture of Korean Shamanism, Christianity and Yonggi Cho's own ideas. LINK TO THE REST. ~ Marsh

Yonggi Cho is very well considered in most Pentecostal Christian circles. That church has an excellent reputation. I guess secular organisations have a hard time believing that and church can grow to 800,000 without it being a cult.

Sorry to hijack, but I am confused. I want to edit my profile and add a siggy line. It says click on link on the Menu Bar. What link on what menu bar? I am sure it is soooo obvious that I cannot see it....
Marsh, I am not allowed to look at Wikipaedia articles. My wife works for the competition and I really do not want to end up posting here asking for help if she finds out...but no one will tell her if I sneek a peek, right?

Marsh - Not really looking for a theological debate here but a prosperity doctrine is taught by many churches. The idea that christians should be poor is the antithesis of a prosperity Gospel. The bible does teach that material wealth is part of salvation.

OK, Big K. I just want to go on record as saying that while I don't think that Christians SHOULD be poor, I don't think the Bible teaches that material wealth IS part of salvation either. ~ Marsh

Ah - It's not PART of it Marsh - it's a consequence of it. Does that make any more sense? Just like health.

OK look at the top - just above where it says Infidelity - General Questions II Above that it has your Username? To the right of that is the menu bar. Click on My Home
Then the other instructions should make sense.
