Put it in the Oven
Turn the oven on to 30
Cook for 55 hours
Put Ketchup on it before you eat it
You could also put chicken nuggets with it.

For Dessert:
Donuts that you buy at Wa-lmart

Milk

What I am thankful for:
God, Jesus, my mom, dad and my family.

Deja
How to cook a Turkey
You put it in a big black pot. You put the turkey in and then cook it. Set the oven on a hot temperature like 30. Cook it for a long time til the oven beeps. I guess that would be like 20 hours.

To go with the Turkey
Corn
Open bag and put it in a pot and then put my secret ingredient in there. Put a dip of salt and dip of pepper. I stir it and cook green beans. Then I would cook a big pot of ham, too

Dessert:
If you want chocolate cream cake, you mix together milk with eggs and put some chocolate stuff in there. Stir and make sure there are not bumps and put it in the pan. Put it in the stove. Cook for 20 min at 30 degrees.

I would make a cheese cake, too. Buy a thing of crust and I put the stuff in there and put the ingredients in there. Then cook for 5 min at 10 degrees.

I am Thankful for:
Mother, brother, sister, dad, and my friends and my teacher and God and Jesus.

Andrea
How to cook a Turkey:
I would buy a turkey from the store. I would put a little bit of salt on it and I would get all the juice out and I would cook it. I would cook it at 20 degrees for 37 minutes.

Green Beans
I would cook some green beans. Put them in a pan and stir them up. I would cook some corn. I would put salt in both the beans and the corn.

Dessert
I would cook a dessert. I would cook a cake.
I would put 1 tablespoon of flour and 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of baking soda. You put 2 eggs. Pour it in a pan. Cook it for 30 minutes at 36 degrees. Then I would take it out and I would put icing on it. You get a container of icing from the store. It would be a 2 story cake. Then I would cook brownies. To cook brownies you would pour some chocolate into some tins and you would cook it for 3 minutes at 13 degrees.

I am thankful for:
My pink poodle and Pinkie and Dearie, and Mya and Nicole and Elizabeth and the whole class and all my stuffed aminals and for my mommy and daddy and for the great food we can eat.

Tyler
How to cook a Turkey
I would actually roast it. I would put it in the oven for at least 20 minutes at 70 degrees. I put 2 olives on top with 2 toothpicks. After it is done cooking you put celery around it. Pull the celery off the roots where you get it from the store. Then you would cut it up into little pieces and then put it around with the big pieces of celery. If you have extra you can put it on top and if it falls off you can eat it. That turkey would be delicious. After I cook it I would chop up the turkey so everyone could have a piece.

Mashed Potatoes
I would make some mashed potatoes with cheese. First you peel potatoes. You would peel about 24 potatoes. Then you mash them. Then you spread some cheese on top. You put the little square American cheese slices on top. Then you mash it again and then you cook them in the microwave for 12 minutes.

Dessert:
This would be my special recipe. You take 2 pieces of bread and you would get some chocolate or vanilla ice cream. You put ice cream on one piece of bread and put the other piece of top of the ice cream. Then, you could add anything to it like a cherry on top, whipped cream, cherry with the whipped cream. Or, you could just put a cherry on top.

I am thankful for:
I am thankful for my friends, for my mamma and my daddy.

Steven
How to cook a Turkey
Open the bag and put it in a pan. Then you roast it in the oven. You would cook it for 19 minutes at 60 degrees. You probably take it out and put some seasonings like salt. Add a pinch of paprika and pour a little pepper on to it.

Venison Stew
I would cook venison stew. First you have to go up north and kill a deer. Then bring it to Texas and chop it and take out the heart. Chop up its muscles to miniature pieces. We add clear kind of like brown stuff and we add some vegetables like carrots and maybe some trees (broccoli) and some grass (green beans). Then we would cook it for 40 minutes in the oven at 20 or 30 degrees.

Dessert
For dessert we would have pumpkin pie
Get a couple of pumpkins. Get a knife and cut open its head. Take out all the yucky seeds and then chop it up. Make a crust out of hard bread. You should cook the pumpkin first and then circle it around with the crust. And then for the favorite part, put a lot of whipped cream on top. You cut a piece of pie and we buy the whipped cream at the store.

I am Thankful for:
JC and my mom and dad and my sisters and my brother and my 100 and I don’t know cousins and my aunts and uncles and my grandpas and grandmas. And my great grandma Mayes.
Nicole

How to bake a turkey
I would use some yummy hot spices, but not too hot. You put some hot sauce on the outside. In the inside you put sauce. And you tie a string all around it so it won’t fall apart. And then it you in the rotisserie and then you set it up and you turn it on as high as you can until it won’t go anymore. You cook it at 40 degrees for ½ of a day until it is dinner time.

Squished potatoes
Peel all the skin off of a whole bag of potatoes. Then you wash them. Then after you wash them you squash them all up. Then you put them in a glass dish and pull the ends of 8 pieces of bread and crumble it up on top. Then, you cook it for 15 hours at 80 degrees.

Dessert
Ice Cream
First you have some salt rocks and ice cubes. And then you put the ice cubes and tons of salt rocks in a can with a little water and a cup of milk. Then you go outside and roll it back and forth and back and forth. Then you can put it in a bowl and put whatever you want on it like sprinkles or chocolate syrup.

Liz
How to cook a Turkey
Take out the juices with a little thing that takes out the juice. Put it outside on the grill on 7 degrees. You cook it for 20 minutes. It is ready to eat.

To go with it we will have pizza. To make the pizza you make the crust with cheese inside. Then you put sauce on it then cheese. Then, you put mushrooms. Then you bake it for 22 minutes at 20 degrees.

Dessert
Buy pudding cups from the store. Put in the fridgerator and then make something else like a cake. Get some dough at the store and then bake it for 1 minute at 2 degrees.

I am Thankful for:
Turkey and my mamma and daddy and my dog that got lost.

Caleb
How to Cook a Turkey
You have to find a turkey and shoot it and then take off the feathers and cut off the head, Bring it home and put it in the oven. Cook it for 45 minutes at 30 degrees.

Carrots
Cut up the carrots and put it in the crock pot with some kind of juicy stuff. Cook it for 35 minutes on low.

Cranberry Sauce
Get some cranberries and squish them. Put it in some cranberry Jello. Mix it real good.

Potatoes
First you have to skin 9 potatoes and then you mush them up. Mix them with 1 stick of butter.

Dessert
Sour Cream Cookies
2 little spoons of sour cream
1 Cup of sugar
1 stick of butter
3 eggs
Mix together with a mixer. Roll them out and you can cut them with shapes. Then you put them on a cookie sheet, but you put oil on so they do not stick. Bake for 10 minutes at 200 degrees.

I am Thankful for:
My family and animals and my friends.

Mya
How to bake a Turkey
Put a little plastic on top of it and put it in the oven. Turn the temperature on 3 degrees and bake it for 6 hours. I would put cranberry sauce on it. I would buy the cranberry sauce at a store.

Carrots
I would cut up the carrots in short pieces. We would have ranch dressing to eat with them.

Mashed Potatoes
Get 11 potatoes. Put them in the oven for 4 minutes at 6 degrees. I would take the skin off and them mash them. I would put in a little piece of butter and some salt in there.

Dessert
I would have banana pudding. Cut up 6 bananas and put them in a bowl. Get a pudding box. Pour it into a bowl. Put 3 cups of milk into it and stir it up. Then you put the pudding and the bananas together in a bowl and mix it up.

Oh Neak, ha-ha!!!

You would have plenty to eat here. I'm making mashed potatoes, macaroni salad, black beans, green salad, candied sweet potatoes, green bean bake, fruit salad with watermellon, fresh pineapple, grapes, cantaloupe, kiwi, bananas, and tangerines. Also chips and dips galore.

That sounds wonderful!!!!! I can be there in about 8 hours.

We are still having quite a few of the traditional things, but left out some of our standards (like sweet potatoes) in favor of some scrumptious asian dishes we don't get very often.

My pumpkin pies are in the oven, though.

Speaking of pies, I'm going to have to go back out. I forgot till just now that I had actually come onto the computer to get the recipe for Dutch crumb apple pie topping, which I did, but then I got sidetracked.

Boy, am I hungry!

Before I shove mine into the oven (unstuffed), I place mega garlic marinated in virgin olive oil in the cavity. And nope, I'm not Italian.

I also always buy "Butterball" turkeys. Love 'em.

The brined turkey doesn't have any drippings. How do you make gravy?

What did you do with the turkey inners? If you still have them, boil them in water and make gravy with the water.

Go to the store. Raley's, Safeway..... Yea it won't be as great as homemade but doable substitute. It's still early.....4pm right? I'd offer to go and pick some up for you but then you'd have to wait for me to fly over there.

Let us know how to brine turkey came out. A client of mine on the Big Island is making 'smokin drunkin turkey'.

Well, it all turned out fine. When I took the turkey out of the pan there was barely enough drippings to make about 2 cups of gravy - no more. Tomorrow I will buy some at the store, because it is all gone.

The turkey turned out very juicy, much better than any I have cooked before. And it was just a regular 20 pound turkey from Safeway.

Drunkin' Turkey:

1 large bottle cheap red wine (burgundy is also ok). Soak for at least over night turning over at least once.

I put smashed or minced garlc under the skin and in the cavaties. Salt and pepper or season as you want when u r ready to cook. I like to use hawaiian salt and fresh ground pepper along with some butter or olive oil run.

You can also put it in the smoker for added flavor.

The red wine soaks through the turkey and turns the white meat a bit pink. The darker the wine, the more the pink shows. The gravy is juicy and has a slightly tangy flavor.

I usually cook mine in a roasting bag or grocery bag smothered on both sides with crisco. Healthier to use the roasting bag.

Glad to hear your turkey came out good. I have never done the brine method before. May try it out.

That sounds good Orchid. I never did the brine thing either, but will from now on. I used my son's 5 gallon fishing bucket. Put 2 plastic bags in it, the liquid and seasonings and turkey.

I was afraid that it would taste salty, but it didn't, just extremely juicy.

Ok, I tried out this recipe tonight...

Roasted Winter Squash with Gorgonzola Cheese From Food Network Kitchens

1 medium butternut squash, or other winter squash (about 1-1/2 pounds), rinsed
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 to 2 ounces Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Peel the squash if desired. Halve the squash and scoop out and discard the seeds and strings. Cut into 1-inch wedges.
Brush a roasting pan lightly with some of the butter. In a medium bowl, toss the squash with the remaining butter and season with the salt. Spread out on the pan and roast for about 30 minutes. Turn the wedges over with a pancake-style spatula and continue to roast until tender and browned, about 30 minutes more. Transfer the squash to an ovenproof serving dish, season with pepper to taste and sprinkle with the cheese, while still hot, to melt slightly (if needed, return the squash to the oven to melt the cheese). Serve.

DO NOT MAKE THIS!!!

It was REALLY REALLY gross!

My son puked up part of his Thanksgiving dinner after he ate some.

I'm not making this up.
