I would like to know if anyone here has had a problem with hormone BC pills (or other forms) decreasing their sex drive and/or also making them a total b*tch? I finally decided to stop taking them and I am more horney than I ever was before when I was on the pills. I almost never wanted sex before. Is it possible it's the BC? I can tell that my hubby really likes the change.

well, i have a very high sex drive with or without bc pills. HOWEVER, it took me several tries before i found a pill that worked for me. hormones are awful to the body. i am finally on a pill that gives me the same amount of hormones every single day instead of it changing depending on the time of month. the only side effect is water retention which i got a fluid pill from my dr. to take care of.
before this pill, any others i was on made me witchy, made me pig out all the time, made me feel worse than being pregnant!
i have heard the pill can decrease sex drive, but that was one problem it did not cause me. mlhb
God first, family second, and all else will fall into place.

My wife went off the pill 2 months ago and her drive has shot through the roof! But she also weaned herself off AD's (Lexapro), she is reading The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands and really taking it to heart, and we are trying for another baby...so any one of those could be contributing factors.
But her orgasms are bigger and more satisfying now than she can ever remember, and she actively thinks about and wants sex - which hasn't really happened since we were dating. We've been in a low-sex marriage for 9 years now and are both overjoyed with the change.

I have been off them for 1 month and I have noticed a change already. I had almost no desire for sex before. I really don't want to get pregnant again though. Has anyone here had their tubes tied? What's that like and does it have any side effects? Hubby doesn't want to be cut because he head it increases risk of testicular cancer. I think he's just chicken, but I'm not really thrilled about surgery mself. Any suggestions?
