Gosh- what a pleasant surprise to be "paged" by a fellow MB.
I am doing okay. My parents and siblings brought T-day to us with instructions that I was to do nothing. It was great.
Sometimes I feel like I'm in a holding pattern-but then I realized that this is not a bad place to be right now. And it's temporary.
Fatigue seems to be the worst of the side effects. Some days I am tired all day, some days I make it to dinnertime, some days are normal. I am so glad that I don't have some of the other side effects yet (I still have hair).
Living day to day with treatments has helped me get perspective on everything that is happening. Sometimes, we don't have the power to do anything but wait. So, I choose to put my energy into what I can-my recovery and my kids. My children need me to focus on my health, so I can be "a refuge" for them as Prov 14:26 says. (I also don't try to run interference for their dad with them. They are old enough to make their own choices. Three of them are not in contact with him-because he doesn't return their calls. DS18 is ready to give up as well).
So, nothing much has changed with WH. But I feel better about my family and me. I have my family, a good church family and a support group to lean on.
No matter what happens with WH and me, I know my kids and I will be okay.
Thanks for checking in.
