This birthday was so emotional for me. This is the first time I've celebrated it without my WH. Although I was surrounded by plenty of friends, it just wasn't the same without my H. I tried to keep my mind off of my WH and my in-laws as I celebrated my last six b-days with them. I checked my mailbox last week and low and behold, I received a beautiful birthday card from my in-laws. I burst into tears. I hadn't heard from them since exposing the A in June. I sobbed even before opening the card because I was so thrilled they remembered! I know that they meant well by sending me a card. I was overcome with happiness and sadness in knowing how difficult this time must be for them as well. I miss them immensely.

I'd love to call them to thank them for the card but I'm afraid this will be more harmful than helpful. Any thoughts?

Looking forward to a new chapter since D was finalized on 4/24/07 from WH.
