auto, you cracked me up by saying you "...won't be turning over stones & poking around in the underbrush..." looking for dates.

You've described what internet dating often feels like to me.

Very funny & disconcerting too.

More information on you dates might be entertaining auto...please?

They want me to entertain them so they have 'fun', and also can be very sexually demanding. (I thought that was our role??).

Are you serious? I mean, really? The women are sexually demanding? Sorry, I just needed to clarify that.
Huh? That surprises me.

Nah, Auto is right, this is how it is in LA too. If you don't "entertain" them to their satisfaction (i.e. don't spend enough money on them), then you're no fun, and if you don't start putting the moves on them soon enough, then you're no fun or must not be into them or don't live life to the fullest .

eek! These women sound like they need some self respect & a slap down to earth.

I'm THRILLED I don't fit that description.

Same here nams: Not sure if that's the way I want to go anyway. I just don't see the magic there, something special or something by chance. Too cold and impersonal. But I am sure some people have great success with online dating.

I am glad AGG backs me up. I am sure people think this is some kind of loud bragging on my part, or I am indulging in a fantasy.

I am not doing either.

I am amazed at how many women will do things in a relationship that if a man did the same, these women would spend hours crying to their girlfriends about how bad he is.

As far as triggers go, the original topic, I can only say that focusing on yourself and not the disloyal ex will help. Get in the habit of thinking of yourself first, not the ex. I still remember the woman I know who complained that her now ex husband took his new girlfriend (one he found after the divorce) to a restaurant they used to go to. This was at least 3 years after the divorce. Talk about a lady who needs to find her life.

What also surprises me [in a good way] is that there are men that are appreciative of a woman not throwing themselves out there sexually. I would have thought that would have been all men's fantasy, to have lustful, forceful women. Interesting!
