Well, did the chocolate thing, from Leonidas (thanks Brit). As I was eating a box (yes, an entire box) of Lindt choclates, I told someone, "I think I have a problem...." Although I prefer to think I am a Connoisseur! And in January, I get to go to chocolate mecca - Belgium! Joking aside, I don't think you can go wrong - your gifts show great thought. I think they are just right. Regards, BB

Lovely.
The amount of thought alone you've put into this would melt my heart.
Is there a time you could exchange gifts alone without the pressure of others being around? If I were in her position I'd prefer to wait rather than to rush the exchange.

Things went very, very well.
First, the get together got cancelled at the last minute, and re-scheduled for next Friday. One of her friends was supposed to be flying in from Denver, and well, that wasn't happening... So, that ensured that we were alone!
So she opened the ornament that had the ear-rings in it and really liked the ornament and went to hang it on her tree. So I was like "Hey, that opens up.....". She seemed to really like the ear-rings. She put them on right away. They looked great on her.
I made a rare smooth move and asked her to turn her head and pull her hair back. Then I said "Very pretty, very pretty. And the ear-rings look nice too". I think I got a slight blush out of that one... <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
As far as the chocolates, well what's there not to like about chocolates?
She texted me yesterday about how great the chocolates were. And she also mentioned that her little girl noticed the ear-rings and really liked them.
She had gotten a few gifts for me as well.....
She gave me an iPod shuffle, which blew me away. Wow.. I wasn't expecting something that cool. Honestly, I wasn't necessarily expecting anything.
And she also gave me a very nice running top for use in colder weather (I jog a lot). That is an awesome gift as well.
So I think the ear-rings were a good call. And the ornament to put them in was a lucky find for a nice touch. And the chocolates were definitely done in a topnotch manner. Leonidas had them boxed and wrapped up in a very elegant manner.
All in all it was a great evening. I am glad that I managed to pick out a few things that were nice gifts and actually had some thought, effort, and caring in them.
And she showed that she knew about me enough to pick out very cool stuff that I can definitely put to good use.
Thanks to everyone on here who helped me figure all of this out.
This is going to be the start of one of my best Christmas's in years. I have my kids all this coming week, so I took off work all week (awesome!). Then this coming weekend I have the re-scheduled party with her and her friends. And then on New Years Eve she already scheduled dinner plans with some other friends at a really nice place, leading up to whatever craziness single people do around midnight.
Heck, I'm looking forward to playing with all my kids new toys this week!
Anywho, thanks again everyone.
Merry Christmas to everyone, and I hope you have a safe and happy New years.
Oh yeah, Merry Festivus to those who celebrate it. Personally, I am looking forward to the family Airing of Grievances followed by the Feats of Strength. I also look forward to eating some Ham with Junior Mint and Snapple Glaze, Festivus Pigeon, and Don't Make Me Punch You Punch.
