How many times can H shoot me down and I still keep coming back for more? I spoke with H yesterday and asked him if he was planning on going to our son's pre-school "back to school night" and H said he can't, he has an appt. He also wanted to know if I was going and since I was why should he go, "so that everyone will think we're together when we're not?".<P>It's after conversations like this that I really feel like giving up, but my heart just can't follow through. I don't understand where he is coming from. H has been having this affair for over a year now and he left the house last Nov. He filed for divorce in June but hasn't done anything to push it through since then. He was supposed to get all his business' books to my attorney a month ago so that she can come up with a satisfactory alimony/child support amount. Also, H wants to sell the house so badly because he says he can't afford it anymore. He had an engineer to the house in July to draw up plans on an addition we put on so that we can get a C.O. to sell it. We need to have some additional work done to the house before it will pass inspection with the town and H hasn't done anything about having it fixed. I just don't get it!!!! I wish I knew what was going through his mind--it's driving me more nuts than I already am. <P>Any input?

Unfortunately it may all be financial. I hate saying stuff like that, but I think that you would be better served than me just rambling about how I understand etc. Not that I don't care, I just have no real idea on why he would do these other than what I said.
