My husband was very angry with me last night over something I think he should not have been. Then he brought up things that I thought we over with. He is not open and honest when he is not mad. Please pray for us to reconcile our differences and give us peace.

I will pray for understanding and forgiveness in your marriage. Sometimes, what our spouses say in anger is the most revealing of their true feelings. Even if it is expressed in hurtful ways, we can try to use it as information to find out what our spouses need most from us. I pray for God to heal your hurt feelings so you can forgive your husband and gain valuable insight into his inner life from what he said to you. I also pray for your husband to learn to express his criticism in more productive ways so that you can both grow in mutual understanding and honesty while respecting each other's feelings.
