I have a question regarding accessing cell phone records. My husband has a cell phone through his employer that he uses to contact OW. Since D-Day he has been clearing the history so I cannot see it and I have no other way to see if he is still in contact with her. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> If I have the cell phone carrier and his SIM# can I access these records online if the phone is registered to his employer? (I know nothing about cell phones as I have never had one myself). Is this legal? If anyone could give me some advice I would appreciate it!

You could get a SIM card reader and a SIM recovery softward that can recover deleted SIM data. That will cost about $100 total. There is a thread someone on the first couple pages that addresses this device. Let me see if I can find it.

Yes, thanks Lexxxy-- I've got a SIM card reader on order and a free trial of data recovery software (I'll check in w/ info re: how much is available for free-- I'm guessing I'll still have to shell out the $69 for the full version of Sim Card Recovery 2.0.1.5-- downloadable from http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/Backup_and_Copy_Utilities/Sim_Card_Recovery.html and other places.)
WH is out of town, but will practice on my own card before I have access to his in a few days.

[quote]Update: I've had success at reading my own SIM card with the ZIO fonemate SIM card reader/manager ( http://www.amazon.com/ZiO-FoneMate-SIM-Card-Manager/dp/B00062WV18 ) in conjunction with Simcon software ( http://www.simcon.no/ ) and will try on wh's card as soon as I get the opportunity.

Reporting is good, but here's the bummer thing I've learned: at best, SIM cards can only store 30 SMS (text) messages at a time. This can be any combination of inbox, outgoing, or deleted messages. So much for learning the content of his messages with OW from last month-- he's sent and received 30 msgs in the past 2 days alone (several with me!)

Still will be worth the money, and I can use it going forward in conjunction with his cell co's online billing to monitor his substantial telecom activities. Wish me luck

Lieslies,

Another way to check cell phone IF you have his security code log in number. You can remote access to see if he has any voicemails. That means you can call his number, from home phone, granted if his phone is ON your number shows up on ID, but if its off, it goes to voicemail and press# and asks for your security code. Then you can check and see if he has some voicemails. If he does you can listen to them, Save them as new voicemails...or for some real FUN, Delete them like I have done! If he asks why you called( cus your number shows on call Id), just tell him you hung up cus you didnt want to leave a voicemail.. THIS works prettty good to hear information of whats going on!!

Thanks for all the advice on cell phone spying. I spent the morning researching and this is what I found. I can't access his cell phone billing records online. I tried twice and the third time it locks out the account. The account must not be set up using his personal information (as it is through his employer). Second, I looked up and read about the SIM card readers. This would be an excellent idea, except I have a MAC and all the software for the recovery is only Windows compatible. (*sigh*) I also found a program (FlexiSpy) that you can install on the phone that works silently on your cell phone like Spector does on your computer. However, this only works on certain types of cell phones (my husband has a Samsung which does not work with this spy software). >=( I am getting really frustrated. If anyone has any ideas as to how I can access his call records other than what I have discovered so far please post! I am starting to think hiring a private investigator is my only option (and probably not a good one as money is tight).

Just a thought ....

Have you exposed to his employer? If he's using a work cell phone to carry on his illicit behavior, maybe they will voluntarily help you with accessing his call record? You might have her numbers available so they can see just how often he's using that phone to call her.

Maybe at least they'd put a stop to him using that cell phone for personal calls.
