I saw on another post that you have been clean and sober for 38 days. That is such an awesome accomplishment! Way to go. Don't forget to give yourself a big pat on the back. BTW, kinda nice having a 30-day chip, if AA gives them out where you are.

Anyway, just wanted to congratulate you on suc an awesome accomplishment. Keep vigilent. I know that I really got to a point where I was ready to give in and drink again between 30 and 90 days. It was tough to survive that, but God gave me the strength. My last drink was 3-13-1984, strictly by Jesus' grace.

I am so impressed with your hard work. Keep it up!

Thanks bro. Today is day 40. Things are falling into place nicely. I was 2 weeks sober when I discovered the EA and that should have put be back in the bottle but it did not. I even stayed at a frends house who is alcoholic, he drank while I watched!

I've changed some things and strategy has been:

- Love her but expect nothing in return. I always needed reciprocation somehow to make me feel loved.

- Groom much better and added some new clothes and shoes etc.

- Am happy with my siuation because in the end I KNOW I'll be in a good place with myself.

- I do not call her at work unless it has something to do with family. I do not call at all when she goes out with friends.

- I compliment and support her new job and the way she looks.

- I freely do most of the household duties and find myself always looking for something to keep me busy instead of thinking.

- The kids are all over me and I gladly focus my energy on them instead of my self pity. Before the kids were a "chore".

- I leave encouraging notes for her daily on her mirror.

- I give her a hallmark card and small gifts about 1 time a week.

We have our second MC tonight and I'm interested in seeing her views lately. She has not pushed or brought up me needing to move out so she can have space. I've learned to let go and let God.

AA is a great thing for me. I have great support and have found a new spiritual way of life. I get to about 4-5 meetings a week.

THANKS AGAIN!!
