I usually hang out on the infidelity forums, but wanted to jump in and ask for your prayers for Melly and her situation. You can read about it on GQII, but just pray for her to have patience, wisdom and the support she needs right now.

My second request is personal. I'm about to go to the Dr's office to find out about a spot on my side that began as a simple boil, started to heal, then got worse and now appears to be getting gangrenous. On top of the awful way it looks, it is beginning to hurt like the dickens.

Can't have too many people praying for ya, don't ya know...

Thanks,

Got biopsy results today. It isn't cancer!

I just have this huge gaping hole in my side that doesn't seem to heal. Seeing the surgeon in the morning to try to figure out what to do next.

I really didn't need this right now....

Appreciate continued prayers.

Thanks

Keep praying ya'll.

I'm being admitted to the hospital this afternoon. I'll keep you posted when I can get to a computer.

Thanks again!

Well, I JUST had a bacterial infection. It took a while for them to identify it and I still have this hole in my side the size of a snapshot (about 4X6 inches). I had surgery to clean the site, spent a little over a week in the hospital and came back to work with little I can actually do, which frustrates the heck out of me.

Saw the doc yesterday and I'll be going back into hospital on March 2nd to have a skin graft to close this sucker up. By early summer, I might be back to normal (as normal as I get).

Just wanted to post update here, since I usually post on other forums, but realized today I hadn't updated here. Sorry 'bout dat...

Thanks to all for your prayers!

Mark

Well, I'm off to the hospital in the morning. I'm ready to get this over with.

Surgery is sometime between 1 and 230pm CST. It was scheduled for 230 but they called and said they moved it up and hour and a half. We'll see...The day I had my CAT Scan, they called and said they'd come for me at 7am. They arrived promptly at 605pm.

I'll stop in with the praise report when I get back.

Thanks to all.

Hi Y'all,

Well they let my W spring me last night.

The official word on my graft is 95% "take."

The leg (donor site) hurts at least as much as the graft, but the staples are still in, so I'll save judgement for later.

Thanks for all the prayers, gang. I can definitely see His hand in all of this. I think I may have needed a rest.

Again, THANK YOU ALL!

Saw the Doc on Monday. Things are going well. I now have new skin growing where the old deadly stuff was removed!

I now have nothing between my chest and the world other than my shirt! I'm into my 3rd day without anything being taped to my body since December and it feels sort of strange.

Doc also said I can start to work out again! Things are still a little stiff and even sour at times, but I'm ready to get on with my life.

Keep praying for continued healing, both my skin and my marriage.

Thanks again!

Mark
