The other day I confronted my WS. Textbook responses, and acqusations, but open to talk. At this point it is a EA.
Problem for me: My WS is on the road for 2 weeks, with no real time to communicate. I am taking the carrot & stick approach, working on my issues. BUT how do I know, how do I approach how do I talk to them about what they are going throuogh. From what I have read I am just supposed to work on me and let them come to me. But 2 weeks is a long time. Any ideas as to what I can do to get WS to open up. One of our big issues has been I try and analyze, plan, and give advice. It drives WS nuts

So the last 4 days with us being apart I have seen a noticeable change from my spouse. She is taking more time to talk to me on the phone and not rushing throught the conversation. A few friends of mine went out to dinner with her and one who knows what has been happening mentioned to me afterwards that she was talking about us in the future and had no negative comments.

But here is the thing. We really haven't spoken about what went down once I confronted her. she did mention that she had read through my emotional needs questionnaire and that she didn't realize the things she had been doing, but that is the most I have gotten out of her. I don't want to push. She'll be coming home on Sunday. Can someone give me some ideas as to what I should do to get her to open up to me. Along the lines of the Carrot/Stick approach I've bought myself some new clothes, shaved, haircut, in the gym constantly. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Repost on the GQII forum and you'll get more responses. Include more background info like children, what was wrong with your M, is the OM married, etc,
