Another late night downstairs in the dark with a bourbon. This is always the hours that the mental images of my WW and the OM together make me literally sick and cold. Rage, pain and sadness.

Perhaps I should cut him some slack. We were once friends. Maybe we should reconnect. After all we share many common interests already including my wife.

I could:

Take him out shooting. If he is concerned about the shovel in the back seat I can tell him, “Silly OM, of course we need a shovel to dig a target backstop. What did you think it was for?”

If this all goes hopelessly wrong and we have to lose our homes in ugly divorces we can work together to fix up the places for sale. We can start with the landscape. I can rent a wood chipper and get rid of some unwanted limbs.

Maybe some basement/crawlspace projects requiring skill saws, drills and nail guns.

I bet skirt-boy has never been ice fishing. I will tell him I always bring cinder blocks to sit on.

No, I am not bitter.

Mental note to self: Add “cut back on the bourbon already” to Plan A.

Peace to you all. Thank you for being here for me. I hope you all have a well deserved good nights sleep. Let’s do it all again tomorrow.

Hang in there!

Chrisner -

I used to have fantasies like yours. Only they were about my ex, not OW. In fact I used to sit around with my neighbor (who is a homicide cop), and run scenarios by him.

After a couple of weeks, he told me he was afraid I was actually considering murder. Haha. I had to stop then.

One of mine was kind of like ice fishing though. It involved going out on a boat in the ocean in winter, with a bottle of whiskey, getting ex drunk, and pushing him overboard. Actually I think that one was the most promising.

Anyway, this too will pass.

My fantasies were always about the MOW who I knew was stalking my husband for 20 years prior to their affair.

The scenarios I came up with were pretty horrendous though usually allowed her to live. Picture brutal thugs in masks giving her what she "wanted".

I even took my handgun over to my dad's and told him to hide it from me. sigh... I do think that I might "accidentally" leave some bullets laying around the house, so wh can check and see that my pistol isnt in the case any more, and wonder where it is... just for fun mind you.... sometimes its good for ws's to have 1 more thing to think about...lol... cant make myself get rid of the pepper spray though... ;o) ya never know when bears might attack!

remember.... before sticking a body in a wood chipper... you need to freeze it. Otherwise the flesh will just get the cutting mechanism stuck. Told to me by someone that would know.

Go camping in the Mojave together. Find a nice anthill. Stake OM spreadeagled over the top of the anthill. Pour honey over sensitive areas. Smorgasbord for the little critters. You sip on your bourbon and snack on hor's deuvres (I can never spell that word!)

LOL Bellevue.

For some reason, people always seem to get caught. I love to watch crime tv. Even the ones who think they are so smart usually make a mistake.

Husband was unfaithful to me before and after our marriage, at least 7 times. I found out 13 yrs into the marriage. Trickle truth for an entire year. Several different d-days, so it was more like a d-year. Difficult recovery.

In the beginning I *really* actually considered hiring someone to put 2 bullets into the OW's head. We live not far from a rougher place where ppl like those can be found.

Thanks God I found my sanity in time, though it continues to play hide-and-seek with me at the strangest times...

Oh no! Bad idea. Whenever people hire someone, they get ratted out.

Nah... LOTS of people get away with murder. Lots.

FBI stats... 64 % of murders are solved.. My own personal knowledge is that of those that are solved over 90% are due to being crimes of passion with very little planning. A little forethought...a good friend and the chances are... well, you get the point.

I find the way committing murder is being so casually discussed on this thread to be very disturbing. There is no doubt that affairs cause strong emotions but this sort of matter of fact discussion of how likely it is to get away with taking the life of another human being is way, way, beyond anything that can be considered "marriage support."

I empathize with the strong emotions that might make someone think about "killing" someone. If you find these thoughts to be persistant or start planning something then I strongly recommend you find a counselor to help you find ways to channel that anger out. It is NOT OK to kill another human being -- even if that person was involved in destroying your marriage.

Murder is wrong. It's not "cool" and it's not a solution to your problem.
