My husband and I have been married 15 years. It has been an uphill battle. I have basically been the breadwinner. I am not a professional and make an average salary. With four children and two adults an average salary does not go far. I have begged, pleaded and explained that this financial stress is ruining our relationship. He works here and there. When he gets a job he can not keep it for one reason or another. I've lost my home, had a car repossessed, went bankrupt, etc. Am I nuts or should a healthy marriage consist of two people working to take care of their family? When I lost my home, I stayed with family until I got on my feet. When I obtained an apartment I did not want him there but the kids (particularly my sons) did not want him on the street as his family has turned their back and he has no money. I also felt a need to not see someone out on the street, we had 15 years together, so I allowed him to sleep on a cot in the living room. I feel like his mother taking care of him. And now, he wants sex. I have completely lost my sex drive due to the fact that I resent him for our position. I am trying to get him into counseling as I feel he has some type of mental problem. I can't bear anymore of this. At what point can I look at myself in the mirror and say "I've done all I can?"

Oh my, my family is the only thing that has kept me. Not sure about your husband but I watched mines closely. I knew what jobs he would loose based on his "break" conversations. I have looked in the mirror and said I've done all I can. Just don't want to take that step and say good bye. But that is an issue I have. I will let my self down before I let someone else down. I will give up on my self before I give up on someone else. I think it's me who needs the help. I've been as supportive as I can be, struggling and still looking for help that I'm not getting. I wish you the best.
